And let me ask you this. Have you ever tried being around someone who doesn't respect themselves? It's exhausting, right? The relationship gets really needy really, really fast. And just like you don't want a girl like that, she doesn't want a guy like that either. If she sees that you're willing to let yourself get walked on and that you don't take the initiative to become a confident person, it causes the relationship to become very needy. Some of the ways I teach my clients to switch this around really fast are things like setting appropriate boundaries and really boosting your confidence and your self-love. And this, of course, extends to other people as well. She needs to— we can only be a respectable person if we actually respect other people. And so when she sees that you respect her and others, that is a magical, exciting feeling. It helps her say, "Wow, that's the kind of man that I would feel safe with forever."
