Go back, check out some of the other ones. But today what we're talking about are 10 mindsets you want to nail down in 2018 to get your mind hope-focused, sharpened, and ready to roll. Let's do this. Mindset number 1, create. Get out there, guys. We're creators. Whether you realize it or not, we are built to create. We can do amazing things, whether it's content, YouTube videos, speaking, podcasts, new products, new design, new customers, new clients. Get out there and create something. Having a creative mindset, guys, and constantly be looking at things and figuring out how would I do it, how would I change it, how would I mold it. It's going to go a long way to boosting your business and really creating a successful mindset that you are able to look at things and re-picture them, re-imagine them, do amazing new things with them, and people around are going to go, hey, that guy, that guy or girl, they've got something up there. They're constantly processing. They're able to create new things from all the ideas and knowledge and experience that they have. It's a valuable and insane essential tool as an entrepreneur. Number 2, here we go. Connect. Connect with people, guys. If you're an entrepreneur or small business, it's all about people. I know you're thinking it's about product and sales, but the reality is without people, you're never going to get there. So what do you got to do? Well, it's simple. Get out there and meet people. Call people, talk to people, have meetings, go to events, go to conferences, show up at your local community events and, and, and your Rotary Clubs and Chambers of Commerce. Reach out, connect with people this year. Get to know people, get to know what they're about. The reality is this, the people that take the time to get to know people are gonna know people. The more people you know, the more opportunity you have. That is just a reality of how business works, especially as a small business or as an entrepreneur. You've gotta connect. Communicate, guys. You have to be a communicator. And whether you are somebody who is outspoken and verbal, you're a big hand talker with lots of energy, Or even if you're somebody that's a little more calm and reserved and you have thoughts that you like to share. Regardless of what your personality may be, guys, you really have to nail it down and communicate it effectively to the people around you. People want to know what you're about and what you're doing, so tell them. Speak, create videos, create images. If you're a photographer, get out there, blow up the world, share your story through image. Make it happen. Communicate with the world around you, guys. It's vital. It's important. It's important and you're gonna love doing it. Okay guys, next up, collaborate. Work with other people. We've talked about creating, we've talked about connecting with people, we've talked about communicating with people. What if you took all of those, put them together, and then you had somebody else over here and they brought their stuff, and then you added somebody else's stuff from over here and somebody else's stuff from over here? What are you gonna have? You're gonna have this beautiful thing that has all this experience and imagination and ability behind it, and when you put it out there, it doesn't just make you look better as an entrepreneur, whether it's your service or product or small business with a product or service. It's going to make all of you look better together because of your ability to take a something and merge it with something else and create something better, right? Who doesn't love peanut butter? Who doesn't love chocolate? You put them together, you get a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, and it's an amazing collaboration. Get out there, guys. Collaborate. Share your thoughts and ideas. Merge them together and make something new and amazing. Okay, coordinate. Get out there, guys. Plan things out. And I'm not talking plan things out until you're killing it and you've got schedules and calendars and this and that and you're spending more time putting pieces together. But at least have a plan. Lay it out. Where do you want to go? How are you gonna get there? What pieces do you need to make it happen? Take the time to plan. And I'm not talking tons of time. Don't get bogged down in it. But at least have a vision. I want to go from point A to point B this year. That's what I want to do. And I'm going to coordinate all of my bits and pieces into that plan, into that structure. It's simple once you have A to B. It's just, how do I take all the things I'm doing and put them into that? Get coordinated. Have that plan. Take the time to contemplate, guys. Think. Read some books. Listen to podcasts. Watch great YouTube videos. Take the time to just Register what's going on around you. The world is so fast moving these days. There's so much going on. Take a moment. Breathe. Read a book. Listen to a podcast and process it. Heck, go buy a journal. I'll link a journal down below on Amazon. You can go grab it. It's a great thing to have. Process. Just take the time. Contemplate. Enjoy. This one's a little more painful for people, and I understand that. Consolidate. Last year you had so many visions and goals and ideas and passions, and they couldn't all possibly come to fruition. So as you move into the new year, cut the dead weight. If it didn't work, mourn it. Goodbye. It was a wonderful idea, it was a wonderful concept, it could have been something But it wasn't. Don't beat a dead horse. It's dead, Jim. Let it go. Leave it where it is. It's in the past. Move forward. Do something new. Consolidate. Get rid of the crap that you don't need in your business and move forward to the things that are working and fresh new ideas. Capitalize, guys. You've taken the time to contemplate. Look around you. You've ditched the old. Find that new. There's so many new exciting things happening. Bitcoin's popped up out of nowhere. Vine's coming back. There's all these amazing things that are gonna happen this year. Capitalize on it. This is the best year ever to be alive. Go out there as an entrepreneur or a business and just own it. Capitalize on everything that's out there. So many opportunities available to you. I'm loving YouTube. I'm loving being here on this channel, so I can't help but come back day after day after day after day and and engage with you guys. Have to capitalize on the opportunities that we have been given this year. Do it, nail it, capitalize on it. Next up, guys, you've gotten rid of the old junk, you're moving on to new exciting things, you're ready to capitalize and collaborate and you're gonna create all this stuff. You have to commit. It's not enough to want it, to say, oh, it's a great plan, I've planned it out. You have to commit. You have to do it. It's not enough for you to just say it or dream it or think it. You've got to get out there and do it. Put some action behind it. Get moving. Why are you wasting your time? Time is so valuable. More and more we're seeing it, that time is the number one most valuable asset that you and your company have. All those other things, money and employees and all that, those are important parts of the process. But time is such a valuable asset. Don't waste it. Get out there, get it done. Commit to your actions and pursue them. Get it done. Which brings us to number 10, the last mindset that you've got to really grab onto here, guys, is— and I'm gonna borrow this from Gary Vee— crush it. Crush it. Just kill it this year. If you take these mindsets, all of these things that you guys have Uh, the capability and the ability to put into place. If you guys just take it and crush it this year, commit to it, move forward, collaborate, meet people, communicate, get all of these amazing things all together in one ball and just crush it, you're gonna have an amazing year. I promise you. That's it for today though, guys. Thank you so much for watching.
