In this solo vlog, Dan Willis of millennialmotivator.ca addresses viewers who are considering entrepreneurship. He outlines three major advantages and three corresponding disadvantages that aspiring entrepreneurs should weigh before committing to the lifestyle. The first advantage is the fast‑paced, exciting nature of running a business, contrasted with the con of long hours and minimal downtime. The second advantage highlights the constant people‑facing opportunities—meeting clients, networking, and traveling—while the matching con stresses the need to be comfortable selling and interacting with others, which can be a challenge for introverts. The third advantage focuses on the rewarding, flexible lifestyle that lets entrepreneurs work on their own terms and spend time with family, juxtaposed with the con that entrepreneurship is hard, requires hustle, and cannot be shortcut by quick‑fix solutions. Dan intersperses personal anecdotes about his own small‑town setup, references well‑known entrepreneurs (Gary Vee, Berto Blake, Casey Neistat), and encourages viewers to reflect on whether the pros outweigh the cons for them. The video ends with a call to subscribe, a prompt for comments, and a question asking viewers to self‑identify as entrepreneurs based on the presented pros and cons.

If you guys are new to the channel, go ahead and click that subscribe button over there, but I'm here Monday through Saturday shooting out these videos for you guys. And today I'm pretty pumped about this one. It's weighing those pros and cons. Even in my own life, I live in a small town outside of Ottawa, and yeah, I work with a lot of big clients, but the internet allows me to do that. But in this small town, I've got people coming up and asking, oh, should I do this? Should I start a business? Is this for me? And the reality is you really do have to weigh the pros and cons. And when I boil it down and I thought about those conversations, guys, the reality is this: There are 3 major pros and cons that you've got to weigh. And once you've done that, if it ends up you're leaning to the pro side, an entrepreneur life might be for you. If you're leaning more on the con side, you might want to reconsider though. So without further ado, let's hit it. Okay guys, first up, if you are going to be an entrepreneur, the pro to it is it's fast-paced. It's exciting, it's exhilarating. You're going, you're learning new things, doing new things, you're all over the place. And it doesn't matter which style of entrepreneur you are, whether it's a small business or the selfpreneur or the entrepreneur, it doesn't make a difference. Here's the reality. As an entrepreneur, you live a life that is go, go, go. Now for me, I'm one of those slackers. I work Monday through Saturday. I take Sunday off with my family. That's it. I rest. There are guys out there though that don't do that. They don't do the Sunday rest. They do Monday through Sunday, they grind, they grind, they grind, they grind. So, big pro, if you're gonna be an entrepreneur, it's a fast-paced, exciting lifestyle, and if that sounds like it's for you, check that pro box. The flip side of that though, guys, is actually the con, and the con is this. I'm up 4:30 AM and I work till 5:30, 6, some nights 7. It's loaded, your schedule is packed. And there's not a lot of downtime. It's a fast pace, but it's also a lot of work that you're putting in. So, if you think, oh, it's, you know, I'm an entrepreneur, I'm gonna be an entrepreneur, things are gonna be slow because I don't have a desk job, I can do whatever I want, whenever I want. Sure, maybe. But most of the successful entrepreneurs that I know out there are guys that fill their day. They're constantly working. So, not a lot of downtime. You really gotta consider that, guys. If you're somebody who likes their downtime, you like your Netflix and your, your PS4, or your movies and TV and whatever it may be, an entrepreneurial lifestyle may not be for you. Pro, people. The reality is, as an entrepreneur, you are meeting people every day, whether it's clients or customers. You're constantly meeting people. And for me, I love it. I love meeting new people, finding out their stories, their passions, what they're working on. If it's a new client, it's, oh, what product or service do you have? If I'm meeting their customers, it's, what are you guys doing with this? The reality is, you get to meet a ton of people as an entrepreneur, guys. It's a great way to get out there, communicate, socialize, meet people, travel the world. Beautiful for that. So, if you like meeting people, talking with people, growing around people, entrepreneurial lifestyle might be for you. On the other hand, if you're somebody that needs that solitude, that social time, that, that time of reflection and being alone, and you don't really like being around people at all, it might be a huge con for you that it's a people thing. You cannot really be a successful entrepreneur if you are not comfortable being around and talking to people. It's just a reality, guys. You are gonna have to sell yourself, sell your product, sell your service, and that's done with people, through people, for people. So if you're not a big people person and you're not looking to be, Entrepreneurial lifestyle may not be for you. Last pro, guys. Last big pro for you guys. It's a super rewarding lifestyle. You hear all these success stories out there of guys like Gary Vee or Berto Blake or Casey Neistat. These are entrepreneurs. These are guys that took their skills and went, I'm gonna do something with this. I'm gonna go into the world. I'm gonna show the world what I can do. I'm gonna bring me into it. It's gonna be amazing. And you see these amazing rewarding stories come from it, guys. My own story isn't a massive success story like that, but I get to be at home. I get to see my family throughout my day, even if it's just to go get coffee and come back, or when I'm shooting video, whatever it may be. But I get to live life on my terms. That's very rewarding as an entrepreneur, guys. If that sounds like it's for you, you might be an entrepreneur. And the con. The con is this, guys: it's not easy. It's not. There's a lot of— I'm sure you're gonna see an ad maybe even before this video that says, oh, by the way, it's super easy to be an entrepreneur. Just sign up for my XYZ, or just read this one book and it will solve all your problems and you'll be ready to go. The reality is this: that's not how it works. Yes, you can acquire knowledge. That's true. There's lots of knowledge out there in the world. I'm a huge advocate for that. But the reality is this: for you to apply it and apply it effectively, it's Gonna take some hustle. It's gonna take hard work. There's no way around that, especially if you're starting from scratch and you never had a business, done an entrepreneurial thing in your life. It's gonna be challenging. It's gonna be hard. So if you're looking to plug in, do eight hours, go home, don't do this. That's not what this is. That's it for today, those guys. Thank you so much for watching again.
