Keeper does that and it keeps it safe, which is a huge deal for a lot of clients out there. So if you're somebody working in the social media game, I highly recommend you check them out. Link is in the description. Let's get down to it. All right. The news about regulation around social media networks has been brewing for a while now. The EU has come out full tilt trying to put taxes onto social media networks, lawsuits aplenty. Well, the reality is this: the EU has finally come out with a list of rules that they think is going to get to where it needs to be, at least as an initial privacy and security foundation for social media. Zuckerberg firing back says, I don't think it's enough. I think it needs to be more than this. There's a lot of discussion here that's going back and forth, guys. And for me, I'm always wary when we put new regulations onto something simply for the sake of regulation and taxation. It looks like it's a cash grab from the government. And now with Zuckerberg pushing back that it needs to be even more security and privacy, it looks like he's trying to make it so the rules make it nearly impossible for new players to step into the social media industry. Great new platforms like TikTok and Byte are going to have a lot harder time getting to the standards that Facebook creator Zuckerberg wants to hit. So I'd love to hear your thoughts down below. Would you rather regulate the heck out of things for the sake of privacy and security, or are you willing to take a bit more of a risk in the sake of having more open social media networks? Anybody that's seen me online knows that a huge part of good social media strategy comes with listening effectively. Talkwalker is one of the tools that I love to do that, and they have an amazing article right now on how you can effectively listen in 4 different ways to Identify trends in your niche and then create content to better suit that. The article's down below. I had a blast reading it. I think there's some solid strategy in there for you guys to use social media listening to your advantage. I highly recommend you take a look. As always, guys, the links to articles on all of this content can be found down below in the description, whether you're watching on YouTube or listening on a podcast, it doesn't matter. All the links are in the description for you to check out. This one's just a personal craving of mine. I always love it when Seth Godin drops a blog. They're never super long. They're quick, they're concise, they get to the point and they make you think. So Seth's got a new blog out, go check it out, get some innovation, get some motivation for your day. You're not gonna regret it. Seth always delivers. Speaking of new social media networks, TikTok is turning into a powerhouse and it's quickly exploding outside of Gen Z. Many businesses are realizing that this network is going to mature quickly. And I, for one, was an early adopter. I still am an advocate for it. I think that there's a huge opportunity to be creative as a brand on the platform and engage with a whole world of people. Quick nano content, it's video content, it connects, it goes viral quickly. There's lots of great things about TikTok. Our friends over at Social Media Examiner have written a fantastic article, 4 Ways That You Can Use TikTok to Grow Your Business. I highly recommend you give it a read. There's some great points in there. And if you're unfamiliar with the platform, it gives you a bit of an insight as to how you could better use the platform to grow your business. So take a look, guys. The last piece that I've got for you today is some killer content from Brian Fanzo. For those of you that don't know, he's the pager-wearing millennial that rocks the yellow hat. You've probably seen him at a conference somewhere. Well, he's written a great article on digital empathy. That's right. Why it seems as though we're lacking empathy online in the digital space and how being aware of that and actually showing and communicating that empathy can be to your advantage as a business or as a solopreneur. So give it a read. Guy knows what he's talking about. He's on point. It's definitely worth giving 5 minutes. And on the conference and event front, guys, what we have is Rainmaker Digital Summit. That's come and gone. Uh, There's been all kinds of great online events happening, but we're moving into actual conference season. So before we get there, AgoraPulse has a Social Media Summit dropping for you guys. It's coming up quickly. You're going to enjoy it. I promise. Mike Alton and the crew there do a phenomenal job on their events. They've got tons of great speakers. It's over a whole series of days. I recommend if you're a social media manager that you plug into that. And immediately following, we have a fantastic opportunity to check Out Social Media Marketing World. If you are not going to be there, you don't have your ticket yet, you want to grab your ticket. Please be there, guys. If you can't be there in person, make sure you grab the digital ticket so you can still attend all the conference events. Links as always to those conferences are down below, guys. Have an amazing day today. I hope that this was helpful for you. If there are things that you guys would like to hear more about, you would like to see some more detail on, don't hesitate to reach out in the comment section down below. Let me know what you're thinking. Let me know your thoughts on this stuff. And I'm happy to have the program continue to evolve. That's all for today though. Have an amazing day and I will catch you tomorrow with another great episode. See you then.
