Good Social Media Morning, guys. Let's get down to it. Welcome back, guys. It's Monday. I hope you're having a fantastic start to your week. If you're new to the program, I'm Dan Willis. We've got a bunch of stuff we're breaking down today, so let's go. So Facebook's playing with the update again. New year, new you, so I guess Facebook needs a new look. The new update has rolled out, so for those of you that get tired of the Facebook updates, I am sorry, that's going to be there maybe on your profile. Some are seeing it, some are not. So check that out. I like the look. The layout is more Instagram in feel. It focuses more on the content. It doesn't feel as spammy or outdated. Facebook for a long time has felt like a 1990s website to me. So this new iteration actually looks more streamlined. It looks a little bit more focused on the content. They're definitely showcasing stories in a new way. So I like it. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. So this may not be a huge one, but for those of you that like to play around with the Boomerang feature on Instagram, they've added some cool effects to it. So you can Duo with it, there's an echo now, there's a slow-mo. So there's different ways that you can actually use effects on effects, which lends to some creativity at the very least. So if you're all about the Instagram Story game, you love your Boomerang, there's some new options out there for you. Next up, there's an amazing article out there by HypeAuditor. HypeAuditor, what they do is they break down a bunch of data and they spit out a result. This one is taking a look at the wage gap by gender on Instagram influencers, and I was pretty surprised by the results on this. I did not think that this would be a massive thing. I didn't think that with digital space, with digital awareness, it would be what it was. I don't want to spoil the results entirely. The link is down below for you guys. Definitely rip through this if you are an influencer, you're considering using an influencer. Take a moment and consider the implications of this. I think there's opportunity Here for us to improve and grow as a community. I'd love to see what happens with this information, but it's definitely a great report. They took the time to dive deep, and if you're considering becoming an influencer, this is something to note. Our good friends over at Agorapulse have hooked you up with six tips to grow your Twitter profile. I know I'm a massive Twitter user. I can't get enough of them. I I love getting on Twitter and just hanging out with the community there. There's some great tips in this for growing your profile. that I highly recommend you put into use. If you are new to Twitter, you're considering rolling it out this year, this is a great foundation to start. If you've been with Twitter forever, these things are probably things you're already doing, but it's a great reminder, oh, I've gotta get on that. And last but certainly not least, I thought we'd throw a little fun in because it's Monday morning. Digital Olympus has a fantastic little quiz online poll thing where you get to see if you can figure out who the digital marketer is in the crowd.
