A speaker describes attempting a 7.5 km walk to Mooney's Bay unprepared, suffering severe blisters and sunburn, then returning with proper gear. He argues pain is a lesson, not something to fear, and that learning from it leads to growth.

Pain is worth every ounce if you take it as an investment and you learn from it. So a couple weeks, maybe a week and a half ago, I decided I was gonna walk to Mooney's Bay. It's about 7.5 kilometers there, 7.5 kilometers back. On that walk, not enough water, wearing a tank top kind of thing. Shoes that didn't quite fit so right caused a lot of pain. Burns, not great. Feet killing me. Back of my heels completely shredded. So today I'm on my way to Mooney's Beach again. Today I've got shoes that are appropriate for the walk. I've got water. I've got a long sleeve shirt so I don't burn. I've got a hat in here if the sun gets too much. Learning from that pain helps us to grow. Without the pain, we don't learn those lessons. Learn from the pain.
