All right guys, in 5 minutes I'm gonna teach you 3 different things that you can do to get more views on your videos and really engage your community. Let's go. Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. I'm Dan, the Millennial Motivator, and today we are talking about how to get more views. Now I want to get right into this. I don't want to take too much time, 5 minutes in and out. Let's get this done. So the idea is you want more views, but oftentimes guys, what we're lacking to identify is why we want more views. Are you looking to really monetize YouTube and make the dollars flow in? Is that what you want? Or are you looking to build a community that engages with your ideas and your thoughts? You really have to hammer that down first. So step number 1— everybody's got their pen and pencils out for this— step number 1 to get more views is to understand why. Understand the purpose behind those views. Are you looking to monetize and draw attention in order to get the ads flowing into your YouTube channel. If that's your goal and that's your aim, you're gonna create very specific styles of content. You're gonna create content that is easily consumable, has a high retention. You're looking for something that is really gonna drive people to watch and watch longer. So you get those ad dollars playing. So the style of video that you shoot is gonna be bigger. It's gonna be longer. It's gonna be more production, which means more work on your end. And you have to know that in your strategy as you're creating video. Now, if what you're trying to do instead is not so much draw the views simply for the sake of getting those ad dollars, having that retention, but instead you're looking to engage in conversation, that really changes up the mode. You could do something that's a little bit more informal like this. It doesn't have to be long. It doesn't have to be super high production. Instead, you are able to create content that you just feel resonates, delivers a message your community is going to value, and you're looking for the views so that more people can join the conversation. So really have that as the focus of your content. But first and foremost, guys, you have to dial down, know why you are looking for the views. All right. Okay. Next up, we've got the views down. We know why we want them. We're either looking to monetize or we're looking to engage our community at large. The next one is to do your due diligence. So what do I mean by that? I mean, take every opportunity, use great tools out there that help really take your video to the next level. So Tools like, uh, Quik that provide fast, easy captions so you can get the subtitles on your videos. That's gonna be big for drawing viewers in and helping the search algorithm better distribute your video to people that it's gonna matter to. Other great tools are TubeBuddy. TubeBuddy has been massive for me in helping get my channel partnered here on YouTube simply because it helps me do everything from making sure I've got the right keywords in there, uh, that I'm— my thumbnail's looking great, that I'm picking the right title that's really gonna show up in search to get people talking about what I want them to talk about. It's amazing to see how these simple tools like QuiCC and TubeBuddy and vidIQ, all of these tools are out there. And it's amazing to see how quickly if you use them, you're gonna see your videos start to get more and more and more views because you're taking the time to make sure that everything YouTube gives you as a resource, you're putting into play. So do your due diligence as a video creator, get out there, make sure you've got great titles, great thumbnails, great keywords, great description, nothing too spammy, avoid the links, be real, be genuine, and you're gonna see it go a long way in getting those views to spike. Last but certainly not least, guys, and we are getting close to that 5-minute mark here, what I want you to understand is this. You want more views, you have to engage your community. So what does that look like? It means once you create your YouTube video, it's not plug and play. Don't leave it, don't drop it and just let it be. Instead, every comment, every comment that hits your video, engage. Have a conversation with people. Talk to them. If people are consuming your content, that's your community. Go back and forth, have conversations with every single post. Now, if you're a new YouTuber, you may not have a lot of people showing up and having conversation. Not a problem. You probably have social media networks off of YouTube. Distribute your video there and engage in conversations there with people. The bigger the community you have and the more frequently people see that you are willing to not only create great content but have great conversations around it, the more views are gonna land on that video. That is it, ladies and gentlemen. 5 minutes, there it is. How to get more views on your YouTube videos. I hope that helps. Quick, concise is the way I love to go. If you see any of these tips that you think are gonna help you out, let me know in the comments below. If you have any questions about, am I doing this right? What does this look like? Feel free to ask me down below as well, and I will do my best As I said, to have a conversation with you in any way possible. Have an amazing Monday, guys, and I will catch you around.
