Hopefully it's gonna be all useful content that you can use as a small business owner, as an entrepreneur, as somebody who's a self-preneur to grow your business online, uh, whether that's digital marketing, content creation, community engagement, all kinds of great tips, tools. We're going to throw it out there for you. So if that's you, go ahead and click that subscribe button down there. As for today though, guys, we're getting right into it. We're going to talk about how to use the algorithm in YouTube to create the number 1 ranking video. No, we're not doing that. Today's video is how— why you should not try to beat the algorithm. Here we go. First off, what is the algorithm? So the algorithm is this great big sorting system behind every search engine out there. If you've ever used a search bar on something, it's got an algorithm, and the algorithm just sorts all the content, all the, all the pages inside that system. So whether it's a website, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, doesn't matter. In their content system that they're managing everything in profiles and what people posted when about what topic, hashtags and conversations, it's all overseen by the algorithm. Okay, that's what it is. It's It's a giant Dewey Decimal System but a million times more complicated with a pile of information that's constantly growing and adapting. So this algorithm will take your content and it will properly place it where it needs to be within the website, whether that's YouTube or whether that's your own website, it doesn't matter. The algorithm's purpose is as a sorting mechanism. So why do people try to beat it? The concept behind this strategy is this: if there's an algorithm with a set of rules and procedures that you can use, um, and understand to help people sort things, when you're trying to get your content visible to everybody— so whether it's a Google search engine, Amazon search engine, YouTube search engine— you want your content— and not in a bad way— but you want your content to be on top. You want people to see it. There is nothing wrong with that concept. What is wrong with that concept is you are trying to cheat the algorithm. You are trying to get the boxes to sort in your favor, not through a legitimate process. You're trying to understand how does that system work, how do I find a loophole in it so that my content will always be on top. Herein lies the problem, guys. If you try to cheat the algorithm, this is what will happen. Every so often an algorithm changes, okay? It doesn't happen every day, but it does happen. And when an algorithm changes, all those rules that you've built your, your, your cheat, your, your trick, your twist onto, and, and you think you've got in your mind that you've nailed this thing and you're going to be on top forever, and then Google comes along and goes, oh, we're going to tweak a little bit. Every time those rules change, those parameters change inside the algorithm, Anything you've done to try to cheat it is not only negated, oftentimes there's a penalty to your content for it. So you can see people that have done this in the past where they've tried to cheat an algorithm, they've done it, their website's number one everywhere, you see them all over the place. Google changes something, bam, overnight gone. Their videos don't show up, their content doesn't show up, their website doesn't show up. They tried to cheat the system, okay? And this is where I put up that giant red flag, like red flag up. When you try to cheat the system, it may work for a time, but it's not a successful long-term strategy. And in any business, whether it's a small business, big business, or you're an entrepreneur, you want to be using the best systems and practices that are going to work not today and tomorrow, not this week and next week, not even this month, this month, this month, next month, uh, this year, next year. You want content— you want to have a strategy in place that is going to keep your content growing, keep your community growing, Until the end, until the end of it all, cheating the algorithm isn't that. So if cheating the algorithm isn't the way to go, what are we supposed to do? How are we supposed to use these, these massive networks out there and get our content up where it belongs? Okay guys, here it is. Here's the secret. Here's the trick. And for some of you guys, it's gonna make total sense. Anybody that's watched my other videos in the past, this is gonna resonate, you're gonna get it. It's not about cheating anything. It's about knowing what your passion is, okay, you written these down? Number 1, know your passion. Number 2, create content that reflects that passion. If you are passionate about music, create content that shows your passion about music. If like me, you just thrive on helping people grow as a business owner, Seeing people pick up new things and twist them and play with them and figure them out and use them in new exciting ways and innovate, then you create content like this. You have to be genuine in that. So know your passion, create content around your passion, and then engage in a community that shares that passion. So I'm not talking— engagement is not, here, watch my videos, watch my videos, watch my videos, watch my videos. Engagement is, oh, I really love the video that you did on that. I did something similar here. What do you think about that? Create conversations, create engagement where you are doing what you're doing, speaking with who you're speaking to. That's it, guys. It's doing that. And when I say that's it, it sounds super simple, but the reality is that's a long process that, that takes daily commitment to whatever your passion is. So it's not a short-term answer, guys. It's about consistent content creation that has your passion driving it, that is going out to a community that that you're engaged in. It's that simple. Stop trying to cheat the algorithm. Get out there, create awesome content. Share your content down below. I'd love to see where I can see your awesome content. If you have any thoughts or comments, feel free to leave them there for me. And as always, we are trying to grow, so that subscribe button down there if you can and will. We will see you guys tomorrow with episode number 14. 14.
