Twitter Chats for Entrepreneurs (Top 7)

Real-time engagement on social media is key to building relationships, leads, conversions, community. So what are my favorite Twitter chats? Stick around, I'm going to throw them out here for you. Now, some of you may know about Twitter chats, it may be a thing of the past for you, but essentially, just to give everybody an overview, a Twitter chat is a single conversation that picks up for an hour, half hour, on certain days of the week where A community comes together and you just have a conversation regarding a topic. Usually there's a single person or company profile that throws out a question and the community answers in kind. It's a powerful way to engage in real time with your industry, provide insights, and gain some insights as well. It's a powerful way to build relationships and I highly recommend it. But there are a ton of Twitter chats out there, so cutting through the noise, I'm gonna give you my favorite Twitter chats day by day throughout the week that you can make a commitment to hanging out in if you're somebody looking to engage with social media or as a business slash entrepreneur this year. So without further ado, let's hit it. All right, so I like to break it down one per day. So for Monday, my big recommendation is Ecom Chat. Okay, the way Ecom Chat works is Monday, 6:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, you get on and you discuss all things e-commerce and digital marketing. Now the value to this one for me in business is it opens you up to a bit of an earlier crowd. You get a little bit more of the European influence on this. And it's a great way to get started into your week. It really revs you up, gets you pumped, gets you going. So the hashtag is #ecomchat. You can check it out right there, that hashtag there. Put that into your Twitter feed, you'll find it. It'll be there 6:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. If you're not up at 6:00 AM on a Monday, you might want to be to catch this one. Great insights on ecommerce, but really how digital marketing can drive conversions online, which if you're in business is a hugely relevant topic. Now, if 6:00 AM is not your bag, and I can understand and appreciate that, my next recommendation is for Tuesday at noon. Okay? Tuesday at noon, you can catch Content Marketing World's Twitter chat. And what I love about Content Marketing World is it mixes the creative with the marketer. So if you're somebody out there that is looking for new ways to use video or imagery or audio in your content marketing, this is a valuable tool, but it also has a lot of the technical background from the people that are digital marketers, digital agencies. It's a great way to pair the two where you get creators and the marketers side by side having an open discussion about what's working, what's not. It's a powerful tool for your business if you are having a hard time using video effectively or using a podcast or audio, using your blogs, your written articles. If you are having a struggle with content marketing, this is a must and the lunchtime on it is also preferable for a lot of people where they They can have their lunch and Twitter chat too. So you can check that one out over here, CM World. So here we are, we finally hit that hump day. You've got Wednesday here. We've done our ecommerce, we've done some digital marketing content creation. So my next one is Small Biz Chat. Small Biz Chat is a bit of a unique animal. It happens 8:00 PM on Wednesday. So it's a nighttime chat, happens probably after you're home, you've had a bit of time to relax, but this is just small business owners coming together and brainstorming about what's going on, where they are internationally, how they can compete with larger businesses. It's a great conversation if you're a solo entrepreneur like myself, or you're just starting out in business and you have a small business. It's a great community to plug into. It's a valuable resource, and I highly recommend it. Okay, Thursday is all about Twitter Smarter. Now, Twitter Smarter is a Twitter-specific chat that teaches you how to effectively use Twitter to grow your business, build leads, how to accurately use the platform to target. Now, it may seem like it's too specific to be of value to you, but Twitter is an emerging network that's making some big plays with Periscope, and it's one of the networks that I'm all in on this year. So check out the hashtag over here, #TwitterSmarter. Thursdays at 1 PM Eastern Standard Time, you'll be able to plug in, get some great feedback, answer some great questions, and meet a community that's really learned how to optimize Twitter effectively for business. Last but certainly not least is going to be the Friday afternoon content management chat/hangout. It's a Twitter chat as well as a Google Hangout that you can plug into and be a part of. I think it's a powerful resource. With everything else that we've talked about, this is about community management. It's teaching you how once you're out on these social networks and you're building your relationships, you're building your community, how you can do that effectively to engage and get the results that you're looking for while being an active member of the community. It's an absolute must. It's Friday, 2 PM Eastern Standard Time, so it works better for you as you're finishing your week, you're coming to the end of it. You can find it out here, #CMGRHangout.
