So often as an entrepreneur or small business, people tell you what the right idea is, what the wrong idea is. where you should go, what you can accomplish, and I just wanna weed some of that stuff out to help you guys get a clear fix on what you can and can't do. So, without further ado, let's hit this hard, get going, and have an amazing week. Let's go! Okay, to get the ball rolling, guys, as an entrepreneur or a small business owner, I'm not gonna say that again, but as you are getting into your business and you're rolling things out, people are gonna tell you, this is a good idea, this is not a good idea. Okay, the reality is this, guys. The best thing that you can do is go ahead and grab some of these, pop them on just like this, okay, and cut out the noise. Cut it out entirely, okay? Get rid of it. You don't need it. The reality is, guys, when you start your business, you have to have a clear vision that comes from your own passion, your own purpose, and your own ideas of what you want to accomplish, what you're hoping to accomplish with your business. Other people's input is great, and really what's worked for them in the past is a phenomenal way to learn and take tidbits. But if people show up and you've sat down, you've put in the work, you've taken the time, and you go, this is the direction I want to take my business, these are the things that I want to do, what I want to hope for, what I want to achieve, and I feel that that's the best way to go for me and my business, and somebody comes in and goes, I don't like it, cut it out. Get rid of the noise. Get rid of them. What can't you do? You can't let every internet critic, keyboard warrior, anybody with opinion walk along and go, I don't like it, don't do it, and you take that to heart. Okay guys, know what you want, know what you want to do, head in that direction, and forget the feedback. Forget the noise if it's only going to be negative. Now, critical feedback is a different thing. Critical feedback is something that says, I don't like it and this is how I would improve it. That's a different animal, but somebody that just goes, don't like it, cut it out. Cut the feedback. Forget what other people have to say. You can't, you can't let other people decide how to run your business, because at the end of the day, that's just their opinion, and you are the one that has to make the decisions that will make or break your show. It's up to you. You can't let other people run your business. You've got to run it yourself. So you've cut out the feedback now. Great. Not the negative, not the critical feedback, but just those that want to be naysayers and say it can't be done. Okay, next up, ambition. How does ambition play into this? Okay, oftentimes people set lofty goals. They want to go big. Some people say, oh, next year I'm gonna be PewDiePie, and somebody comes in and says, you can't do that. It's not possible. You can't create a YouTube channel. It's too flooded. You won't succeed. You can't create a new Instagram account. There's no room there anymore. It's a flooded channel. Lots of people out there want to tell you what is and isn't possible. And I'm not just talking about feedback on direction for your business. So you want to be a— you want to be an accountant in this day and age, and somebody says, oh, you can't be an accountant anymore, that's full. I'm talking about every little channel, every, every aspect of your business. You're gonna set goals, you're gonna set targets, and I hope you're setting targets that are massive, massive targets, right? But people will show up and tell you Uh-uh, can't be done. It can't be done. And again, guys, you can't listen to that. Your goals need to be your own. Your metrics need to be your own. What am I aiming for? Where am I going? Where do I see the potential in this? How far can I take this? That's up to you. Don't let anybody else dictate how far you can go. So you're gonna see a repetitive theme here. What can't you do? You can't listen to somebody else setting the bar. You can't let somebody else set that bar. You can't let somebody set your goals. You can't let somebody set your targets. You can't let somebody tell you how to run your business, guys. This is so, so crucial and vital. I hope you get this. I hope you get how important it is. Don't set a goal and let somebody say it's too high, knock it down a notch. I don't know anybody that's been successful out there that will say set a really low goal, something really super low and easy that you can easily hit. That's a better way to go. I don't know anybody that does that. The best thing you can do is aim as high as you possibly can, and then when somebody shows up and says, it can't be done, it won't be done, I'm promising you it won't happen, you just move on and you keep doing the things that you know are gonna get you to where you wanna go. I promise you guys, you may not hit that target, but aiming high and missing a little bit lower is better than aiming low and just overachieving by a little bit. Okay? So, Don't let somebody else set your goals. Don't let somebody else run your show. What's left? So, the last 2 points, guys. We've talked about how crucial it is to not listen to people that have very little authority in what you're gonna do. They have very bad feedback. The last thing that I wanna give you though is you can't surround yourself with people of that nature, okay guys? We very much control who we do and do not receive feedback from, communicate with. Even here on YouTube, there are many, many, many posts and comments that I've seen come through on my channel that are spam, not helpful, just negative. Guess where they go? Dumpster. You never see them. I don't give them the time of day other than the update from YouTube saying they're there, and I clear out the spam box. It's literally that simple, guys. Whether it's YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, your website, email, doesn't matter. Whatever feedback you're receiving, you You decide who it's coming from and how to receive it. Okay, so feedback from your clients— do you want to ignore that? Probably not. Not a good way to go. But anybody that's offering their 2 cents to you that isn't part of your network, that isn't somebody that you feel has achieved success that you want to listen to, don't listen to them. Nobody is making you take feedback from the world. That's not necessary. It's not a part of the business. It's not a part of who you need to be. What you do need to do though is Is take the time, surround yourself, and listen to people that you feel have an understanding of where you are, where you're going, and genuinely want to help. So take for example this video. Here I am. Some of you know me. Some of you have been watching these videos from the get-go. You have a bit of an understanding of who I am and what I'm about. Great. That's awesome. Unfortunately, some of you don't know who I am. If you don't like what I'm saying, you don't like what's happening here, the beautiful part of it is this: you can hit the stop button. What? Go to another channel that you do like to watch. Bam! Now you're getting what you want, right? If you're somebody that enjoys this video though, you're gonna watch it, absorb it, maybe go back and watch some other videos, share it out with other people, see what they think. The beauty of it is this: you control what goes in, okay? You control it. Don't lose control of that. Take control. So control your circle. Know who's talking to you and why. Don't take spam. Don't take crap. Do what you got to do. Don't let other people set your goals, guys. It's so crucial. You can't let people set your goals for you. That's up to you. Aim high, hit high. Whatever your goals are, somebody wants to drag them down, don't let them, okay? Last but not least, you can't let people tell you how to run your show. What you want to do, where you want to go with your business needs to be your own. It has to be as unique as your business concept. It has to embody you. It It has to be your decision. Don't let other people run your business because then you're just an employee. You're no longer an entrepreneur or a business owner if you're letting somebody else tell you where to go. That's it for today though, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you so much for watching. If you enjoyed this episode, click that like button down there. Question of the day is, what else can't you do? I'm surprised to see if there's anything else down there, but the reality is this, guys. I love that you guys are showing up and watching. Channel's having amazing growth. This was one of those things that people said you can't do. YouTube's flooded. There's no room for a business channel on there. So if you guys are loving the show, make sure that you share this out to friends, family, whoever else is in the entrepreneur small business world. It'd be a huge help for me, huge help for the community here. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow, guys. Take it easy. Be awesome. I will see you then.
