Good morning. All kinds of stuff happening today, guys. We're going to take a look at Facebook. We're going to take a look at some new content that's dropping. I can't wait to get into it, so let's go. Can't believe it's Thursday already. Let's get right down to it, guys. Today what we're taking a look at are some new social media updates. We've got some great news coming out in social today, but we also have some Killer new content that's dropped that I want to make you guys aware of. You can check out and see what's going on. So let's get down to it. If you haven't liked already, go ahead and smash that button for me. So we got a couple smaller updates today on social, guys. One of them I'm actually pretty excited about. So Twitter has had this idea that they want to go out there and they want to add a tiny little checkmark— not that blue checkmark that everybody's so excited to get on Twitter. No, what they want to do is add a checkmark to accounts that that are potentially spam or robots. They want to flag these accounts out so everybody knows this is not legitimate, this person is not real. And I really, really love this because even if an account may be a legitimate account, right, you think of some of these bigger celebrity accounts, if they are identifying that it's mostly robotic, automated spam content that's going out there, that's gonna get flagged. So I I'm excited to see what they're doing. As always, guys, any of these things, there's articles that you can check down below that go into more detail on it, but I'm pretty pumped about Twitter making this step to show a little bit more integrity, authenticity on their platform by not only constantly scanning for fraudulent accounts and spam accounts and robotic accounts, but now they're gonna tag anything that might get through to warn you ahead of time, this isn't legit, and I love that. Another update, we've got LinkedIn rolling out. They've got a new format for their Daily Rundown. So if you're familiar with LinkedIn, you know that daily you'll get this, this quick blog-style, article-style piece of work. It's gonna have a different look and feel to it. The content's essentially gonna be the same, but you're gonna have a new look and feel. So if that's your thing, if you like these aesthetic updates, that one's for you. Now we're into the news, guys, and we've got great news for all you TikTokers out there. Yes, TikTok is again the most downloaded social platform the month of September. Sensor Tower dropped a report that stated that by far TikTok is the currently most downloaded app. Now I know that metric can be a little bit skewed when we're looking at social media just because TikTok is a new player on the field, but regardless, it's great to see that TikTok continues to pick up momentum as it's growing as a platform. So if you hadn't had a chance to jump into TikTok yet, maybe now's the time. Lots of people downloading it. You can definitely see it on the platform in the feeds. There's lots of new creators, and it's not just younger Gen Z creators anymore. Millennials, boomers, everybody's getting in on the party. So go check that out. I'm on over there. You can find me in there playing around and trying to figure things out myself. So that'd be a blast. Go check it out if you haven't already. Next up, we've got Zuckerberg going off, and he's gonna face the fire. Yeah, he's talking Libra, he's talking privacy, he's talking legal obligations from social networks, the whole shebang. And he's sitting in front of— Congress. The US government to do it. That's right, big deal today, guys. So I'll be watching that closely, see what comes of that. Libra has had a hard time getting off and rolling. That's the cryptocurrency that Facebook had announced a little while back. They had most of their major sponsors move out of it. So we'll see what he has to say today. We'll see what direction they're taking it and where they're going. But for now, it's just a watch and wait and see what he has to say in front of Congress today. All right, let's get down to some killer content, shall we? Joe Rogan's got a new podcast out, came out yesterday. There's actually 2 from yesterday, but the big one that I highly recommend you watch is Edward Snowden. That's right, he sits down with Edward Snowden and he breaks down exactly what happened, his thoughts, his ideas, what's going on now. It's definitely worth watching, check it out. We have other great content. For those of you that know Carlos Gil, I hope you know Carlos Gil. If you don't, he's a phenomenal marketer, he does great stuff with brand marketing. His new book is dropped and it's now available on Audible. So End of Marketing, you can head on over to Audible, grab a copy. For those of you that are like me, just don't have time to sit down and physically read a book, but you love a great audiobook, I cannot recommend End of Marketing enough to you guys. Carlos Gil knows what he's talking about. Go check it out, take a listen, it's gonna be fantastic for you. And last but not least, we've got Roberto Blake coming in. He's got a great new tutorial video, How to Dominate on Social Media. In 2020, go ahead, you can click over here on YouTube, you'll check him out, he's right over there, bam! You can figure out exactly what your strategy's gonna be going into 2020. If you don't know Roberto Blake, you're gonna love checking him out, the guy is, he breaks it down so simply for you. This is the steps that you have to take in order to get done what you wanna get done. He does that with great creative stuff from Photoshop and Premiere and whatever else, photography, videography, but this one's all about social media and how you can take your social media game To the next level. That's it for today, guys. This is only episode number 2, so if you guys have any feedback, I'd love to hear it down below. Let me know what you wanna see in that morning social media. Do you wanna know more about the updates that are coming on the platforms? Do you want more of the news about what's gonna change, what's coming down the pipeline? Or would you rather see more great content that might go under your radar? Let me know down below in the comments, and I can't wait to catch you tomorrow morning. Have a kick-ass day, guys. Later.
