10 MIN STRESS RELIEF | Guided Somatic Breathwork Meditation

Char guides a 10-minute somatic breathwork practice for stress relief. You'll do deep belly breaths through your mouth, hold the breath in the middle, then shift to slower nose breathing. The practice ends with prompts to reclaim parts of yourself and a gratitude closing.

Hello. Hello. Hello, Somatic family. My name is Char, and I will be guiding you through this daily breathwork practice today. Today's practice is good. If you find yourself stressed or anxious or maybe just trying to move through something that's upset you today, the first half will be deep belly breaths. In and out through the mouth. In the middle, we'll have a breath hold. And in the second half, we'll have relaxed breathing. Breathing in through the nose and out through the nose. Take a moment to set your phone to do not disturb, use the restroom, and let's dive in. All right, let's go. In and out through the mouth. Deep belly breaths. There you go. Keep going. It's not how fast, it's how deep can you pull that breath? Keep breathing. Notice if you already want to stop. Notice if you're already avoiding the discomfort. Where else in your life do you avoid the discomfort? No judgment, just awareness. Keep going. If you need to make sound, make sound. Keep going. Where in your body are you carrying stress? Where is that tension? You don't need to carry it anymore. Use the breath and sweep it out like a broom. Keep breathing. Clear out whatever doesn't belong to you. You get to decide what you carry in your body. No one else. All right, we're gonna go into a breath hold. So when you're ready, take a deep breath in. Let it all go. Take another deep breath in. Let that one go, too. When you're ready, take that third deep breath in. I want you to hold it at the top for as long as you can. What message does your favorite self have for you? Whenever you're ready, you can let out that exhale. On that next inhale, I want you to breathe in how it is you want to feel. Breathe it in as if it's already happening. In through the nose, out through the nose, slowing things down, feeling them more. You've cleared out so much from this past week. What do you want to bring back in? Breathe it all back in. Breathe in all the parts of yourself you may have left during times of stress, during times of fear and anger. Call those pieces back into yourself. Reclaim all the parts of yourself, everything that makes you, you. Bring it all back in with your breath. As we take these final moments, I'd like to ask you, who are you most grateful for in this life? Whenever you're ready, you can flutter your eyes back open as our session has come to a close. Thank you again, Somatic Family, for coming on this journey with me today. May you feel love, light, and blessings as you move through your day to day.
