This is what somatic awareness is in breathwork. Somatic breathwork. Just honored to have you in the space.
Yeah. For those of you that are joining for the first time, why don't you comment in the chat with A1 and just let us know that this is your first time.
So cool to see the variety and all the places everybody come from too.
Yeah. Yeah. And if you. If you feel called, put your flag or location into the chat as well. Beautiful. So we've got some first timers here.
So cool.
Amazing. I just love this practice so much because it always is remarkable to me how quickly I can go from feeling one certain way, maybe that's a little down, or feeling. Feeling super stressed, and in just a matter of minutes, I can go from feeling one way to feeling completely different.
Yeah. You hold that power. It's literally a superpower. I had no idea even two years ago how much the breath was a superpower. And it's such a gift to see it and to have so many people for the first time. This is so cool.
Yeah.
So. So.
Yeah.
Well, we're so thankful you're here, and I'm going to center everybody in something we call a somatic awareness exercise, and then Adam's going to lead us into the breath work. So, so thankful to have you here, tuning in for yourself. Just honored to have you. And be sure the space you're in, you'll have your eyes closed, sitting comfortably, maybe hands on your knees, legs crossed, whatever feels right to you. And just go ahead now and come into the space and maybe move your body a little bit, get comfortable, get into your body. That's what this is about. Go ahead and just close your eyes. Just tune into that breath and just tuning in to how it wants to show up for you in this moment. And as you're tuning into that, begin to bring awareness to the physical sensations that you're feeling in your body. Just honoring and giving grace or whatever those sensations are. Maybe it's tension, maybe you feel warmth or loose, even tightness. Just bringing awareness to that. And then take it one step deeper and tune into those emotions. Just the emotions that you're feeling in this space, in this moment. And again, not judging any emotion that comes up, but acknowledging it for what it is. No emotions are good or bad. They're just emotions. And now take it one final step deeper. What stories are you telling yourself? What stories are going through your mind in this moment? Maybe these stories are connected to that sensation in your body or even to those emotions you're feeling. Just Honoring your humanity and the awareness that you can access at any point. And as you remain tuned into your breath, into your body, Adam's going to guide us in a daily breath work.
For those of you that are joining us for the very first time, we are going to go through two rounds of breathing. The first round, we are going to bring the breath in and out of the mouth, deep into the belly. Feeling the belly expand in 360 degrees might sound a little something like this. Keeping the breath in a circular fashion, so you were always either breathing in or breathing out. In the second half, we'll breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth, still bringing it deep into the belly, still keeping it circular. And in between those two rounds, I'm going to ask you to take a breath hold. And this breath hold you will find some clarity. And I will ask you to connect with a specific way that you want to be. So let's go ahead and retune into our body, retune into our breath. And utilizing that information that you just received in the somatic awareness, practice to see where in your body you're carrying tension, stress or pressure and you use the breath to clear that out. So begin to consciously control your breath in and out of your mouth, deep into your belly and use your breath to clear that stress, to clear out anything you don't want to carry into the rest of the day or the rest of the week. That's it. Deep breaths, clearing out whatever you don't want to carry. SA 10 more deep breaths, laughs in Deep breath, let it all go. Take another deep breath in. Let that one go with the sigh. Now taking a deep breath in, holding it at the top and connect with how you want the rest of your day and the rest of your week to go and see it and feel it clearly, staying in that hold as long as you feel guided to do so. Whenever you're ready, you can let that breath go. Switching to breathing in through the nose and slowly out the mouth. Really breathing in how you want the rest of today to go. Breathing in how you want to feel. How do you want to feel? Moving into the rest of the week, Allow that feeling to wash over you. Allow that feeling to expand with each breath you take. Feeling it expand along with your diaphragm, feeling it expand from the top of your head to the tips of your fingers and toes, really embodying that feeling, allowing that feeling to emanate from you, to emanate from your heart. Take five more deep breaths in taking in your deepest Breath of the practice, letting it all go and holding it on the exhale. And just when you need to take that next sip of air, breathe in the feeling of gratitude. Breathing gratitude into your heart whenever you're ready. Breathing in gratitude for your body. Breathing in gratitude for your breath. Breathing in gratitude for being alive for another day. Breathing in gratitude for everyone that is here in this practice. Breathing in gratitude for the gift that is somatic breath work. Just allowing your body to become still in that gratitude. Allowing your body to breathe however it wants to breathe, Bringing your awareness back the somatic sensations that you're feeling within your body. Becoming aware of the energy running up and down your spine, rising with your inhale and falling with your exhale. And with your next breath in, send that energy up your spine, sending it out the top of your head, sending it up into the heavens to connect with something greater than yourself, whatever name you call it. Take three deep breaths to strengthen this connection. And with your next breath, bringing that connection to something greater than yourself back into your body, down through your crown, down your spine and into your heart. Taking a deep breath to anchor this connection into your heart. And with your next breath, send your awareness and energy down your spine, to the tip of your tailbone, sending it down into the earth, all the way down to the core. And taking three deep breaths to ground yourself and your connection to the earth. And with your next breath, bring that grounded connection back up into your body, back up through your spine and bringing it into your heart. Combining the energy of the earth, the energy of the heavens, into your own energy of your heart, making you the center point between heaven and earth. This is your anchor point. And no one can push you from this place. From this place of grounded, centered and aligned energy, you can go forth into the world, connecting with others as you connect deeper to yourself. So taking another deep breath in, solidifying this connection within ourselves. Taking another deep breath in, anchoring ourselves back into this moment. Taking one final deep breath in, bringing yourself back into the here and now. Gently opening your eyes whenever you're ready. And if you feel called putting into the comments how you felt about this practice, how do you feel now comparatively to how you felt before? Seeing a lot of hearts coming through. Thank you all so much for joining us in this beautiful somatic breathwork daily practice.
Thank you for guiding us so beautifully in such a grounding way.
It's always an honor, Morgan. Beautiful grounded, beautiful practice. Amazing. Lighter.
What is the path?
Yeah. So just remember everyone, that no matter how you feel in any given moment, you have the ability to change that. You have the ability to control how you feel, all by connecting to your breath and coming back right here.
So powerful. Thank you all for coming, many of you for your first time. That's amazing. Love to stay in touch, hear how you continue to feel throughout the day and the week. And we'll see, hopefully all of you in our next. Our next guided practice. Sending you all so much love. See you next. Thank you, Adam.
Thank you, Morgan. Bye, everyone.
