Daily Somatic Breathwork Meditation

Morgan and Adam guide you through somatic breathwork with two rounds of circular diaphragmatic breathing, about 30 breaths each. The first round uses mouth breathing, the second through the nose, with breath holds between rounds. The session starts with grounding and ends with gratitude visualization.

Everyone, the space. So it's great seeing you again, seeing your face.
Yeah. Good to see you as well. It's funny that you say that. It's. It's stormy around you and in. In very much the literal sense, but I feel it's been stormy for everybody for the last couple of days with the eclipse and everything that's been going on.
Oh, yeah. Just so much happening. So much just mixture of it all. Just everyone's feeling a lot of whatever it is coming up. Emotions, just decisions. Clarity, maybe lack of clarity and just this need. Just be inward and ground, which is what this space is for.
Yeah. Yeah.
So thankful to have you in this space. And just everybody, if this is your first time, just a reminder, just find a space that's comfortable for you where you will not be disturbed. This is done with your eyes closed. It's an inward journey. You can be seated like myself and Adam, or you could even be lying down if you choose. I will say, if you do lie down, after the practice, just gently come up. Don't rush coming up because the breath can. You know, you want to take it soft and gentle with yourself. But yeah, we're honored to have you all. And Adam's going to guide us through the actual breath work. And I will guide us into just an awareness exercise to get us all into our bodies and prepare for the breath work.
Beautiful.
So everybody coming in, just find a comfortable space space and just become just aware of your breath and go ahead now and just close your eyes. Just tuning inward, whatever it is that you're feeling in this moment, just allowing it to rise up and just beginning now to just notice. When you feel secure within your body, body and connected, where do you feel that now? In your body? Maybe you're feeling a lack of that. Just honoring however that feels for you in this moment. Just honoring these sensations and not trying to change them or force them them. Just awareness, never judgment. And now let's take it one step deeper. What emotions are tied to that grounding sensation that you may or may not be feeling? Just feeling whatever emotion that is, feeling it fully. And now one last step deeper and acknowledging the story. What stories are rising up for you, Stories about security and safety and being fully present in this moment. Just honoring that story again, always awareness, never judging it. And from this place, this place of awareness, Adam will guide us through breath work.
And for those of us that are joining for the very first time, we're going to go through two rounds of breathing. Each round is going to be roughly 30 breaths long. And in between each round, I'll ask you to do a breath hold. And so we'll take three deep breaths in, and on the third breath, we'll hold at the top in between those two rounds, and at the end of those two rounds, we'll hold it at the bottom. During each of these rounds, we will be connecting with a circular diaphragmatic breath. What this means is you're going to bring your breath all the way down into your belly. Feeling your Diaphragm expand in 360 degrees like a balloon and circularly connected means that you are always breathing in or always breathing out. In the first round, we'll breathe in and out of her mouth. And in the second round, we'll breathe in and out of our nose or in through our nose and out through the mouth, whichever is most comfortable for you. So if you all are ready with that awareness that you just cultivated, let's begin. In this breath work, Practice connecting with your breath in and out of your mouth, deep into your belly and using the breath to clear out anything that's keeping you from being grounded, anything keeping you grounded in your body. Sam. That's it. Keep going. 10 more deep breaths now. Beginning to slow it down as we enter into our breath hold. Taking a deep breath in, letting it go, taking another deep breath in, letting that one go to taking a deep breath in, holding it at the top and connect to your groundedness. Connect to the feeling of being grounded in your body sa and staying in that hold as long as you feel guided to do so. Whenever you're ready, you can let that breath go. When you're ready to recommit to the breath, switch to breathing in through the nose and out through the nose or mouth. Breathing in that feeling of being grounded in your body and breathing in any other feelings that come in this grounded state. Could be the feeling of joy, could be the feeling of peace. Be the feeling of calm. Whatever feeling is arising for you in this moment, use the breath to expand it, expanding that feeling inside of you and outside of you. Taking ten more slow deep breaths in Sam. Let's take three more deep breaths. Deepest breath of the practice letting it go, becoming completely empty and holding it there. And just when you need to take that next breath in, breathe in the feeling of gratitude.
And holding on now to that gratitude. Gratitude. And for those in your life, those who've helped you and hurt you along the way, Bringing away awareness now, continuing with your breath, just slowing it down now, however it wants to show up. Feeling now the very ground Beneath you, that foundation, that. And then the energy rising up from the ground up into your legs and your spine, rising up your spine into your shoulders and neck and all the way out the tip of your head up into the sky, into the heavens. Taking a deep inhale in and releasing it, rounding you to that connection that is unshakable. Taking another deep inhale in now letting it go, grounding you even deeper. And one last inhale, the deepest of the practice and letting it go. And stillness and presence, bringing yourself back into the space now, maybe wiggling your fingers and your toes and holding on to that intention can shake you from your ground. No matter what, you always have your breath. Whenever you're ready, can slowly open your eyes, coming back fully into the moment, back into the space. Such a beautiful Somatic breath.
Work.
Comes right when it's needed.
Yeah.
Everyone who's joining is. Is here for a reason. It's always for a purpose. Yeah.
100% awesome.
Thank you all. It is a medicine. The breath is a natural medicine we always have access to. As long as we're living, we have our breath. So.
And the best part about the medicine of the breath, it's free.
It's free. It's so cool.
Yes.
Always accessible, free. You can manipulate it, you can guide it as you solve, as you flee experience in the practice. And it's a beautiful thing.
Thank you for your presence as always, Morgan.
Of course, it's an honor and it's a joy to offer these and we always save these on our page. Somatic release, if you would like to receive again, you will see both Adam and I in the video tag.
