Welcome everybody.
Tuning in. So excited to have you back for another guided daily practice that you can do really at any point of your day. You can do this in the morning, you can do this in the evening, you can even do this throughout your day if you're feeling overwhelmed or just stuck or stressed. This can be your superpower that really does help regulate you and align you and just give you that calm in the midst of whatever it is that's going on in your day to day life. This breath work can truly bring you back to center. So excited to have you. If this is your first time. Welcome. It is an honor to have you joining us here at Somatic. My name is Morgan. If you don't know me, I work alongside the social media team and also these daily practices which mean a lot to me because it truly did pivot me into Somatic. These daily little decisions to show up with your breath and it can be just so empowering and transformative. So I'm so thankful to have you here and if this is your first time, I'm so honored that this is the space you've chosen to hop on and join me in this practice. Let me know where you're tuning in from. Just go ahead and just become aware of your breath in this moment. Make sure you're in a comfortable space where you won't be interrupted. You can be sitting down with your hands on your knees or even lying down. If this is your first time that feels right to you. Whatever feels right to you in this moment. Argentina. Incredible. So honored to have you here. So this daily practice is actually structured very similar to a full Somatic journey or even a somatic reset where you will have two types of breathing. The beginning is meant to be much more intense and it's meant to really get you back in your nervous system like a broom sweeping out whatever it is that doesn't belong, whatever it is that's other that's distracting you, that your body is ready to let go of, that is what that beginning breath is for. So think deep dive for your breaths like this. So notice my exhale is swift and short.
And remember this is about depth over speed. So definitely go at your own pace.
Do not rush it. Whatever your body needs. And then the second half is much more gentle with your breath. And don't worry, I'll be guiding you through this entire daily practice so you definitely never have to go with this alone. And we'll also have a couple breath holds that I will guide you into. In the first breath hold, I will Basically say, take three deep inhales in.
And on that third inhale you will.
Hold it at the top. And these holds are your space to digest and to really tune into your body and feel whatever it is your body has to tell you. We are often so mentally focused and we forget our body, we forget what our soma has to teach us. So this is your space to really tune into that and to let go and to bring back in.
And this session will be 30 breaths at the beginning, 30 clearing breaths and.
Then 30 of those repatterning breaths. So about 5ish minutes in total. So it's a short practice.
And it's.
Meant to be something that you can do each day to tune back in and to reset and to really find that alignment. So thankful to have each and every one of you tuning in. And if you're just joining in again, my name is Morgan and and I work alongside the Somatic team, helping with social media. And this will be again a daily practice, about five minutes total. And I will guiding you into those 30 clearing breaths and the 30 repatterning breaths. And if you need to go at your own space and own pace, that's perfectly fine. I'm just here to hold space for you so that you can take up space. Thank you all for tuning in. Remember to find now a comfortable space sitting down. Definitely not standing up, but sitting down with hands on your knees, maybe lying down again if that feels right to you.
And begin now to just tune into your breath without putting any pressure or.
Expectations on.
How you should be breathing. But just tune into how your breath wants to show up in this moment.
You can close your eyes if that feels right to you.
We will have our eyes closed in.
This practice when we get started.
And begin now, just tune in.
To.
Any physical sensations in your body. Just those physical sensations.
Maybe your eyes feel heavy.
Maybe you're.
Feeling a little tension in your neck.
Or your back.
Maybe you're feeling loose throughout your body.
Just identify those sensations without trying to change them.
I'm feeling a little tension in my back and neck from traveling, being on a plane.
And from there, just take it a.
Step further.
And tune in to any emotions that you're feeling. Again, not trying to force or change.
Or judge any emotion, but just acknowledging what your body's feeling.
And now take it one last step deeper and tune into the mind here.
What stories? What stories are you telling yourself right now?
If you feel called to share in.
The chat, please feel free. This is your safe space to express.
And to feel with no Judgment on any of these stories, but simply honoring.
Honoring your soma, your body.
And these messages in this journey of those sensations and those emotions. And finally those stories, that journey of feeling that fully and pulling those apart.
That is your somatic awareness.
You can always tune into that before.
You begin these practices.
And before we begin. Think of one intention, one thing that you want to receive by the end of the session. Feel that fully. Maybe those sensations in your body, in those emotions are tied to a story. Maybe it's a story you're ready to clear out. Maybe it's a story you're ready to tune into.
More deeply.
Identify that intention now. That one thing that you want to receive before you begin. Feel it as if it's already happened. My intention is freedom. Feel into that intention now. Go ahead and close your eyes if you haven't already. Peace.
Beautiful.
In a comfortable position, ready to work your breath in the beginning. Remember, you get to decide how deep.
You want to go with your breath.
And tuning in now to that intention. Let's begin. Deep inhales and exhales through the mouth.
Let's go.
Good. Keep going. Use your breath. How deep can you feel what's in your way, what stress is blocking you? Breathe it out. Breathe out that weight of other and that pressure that was never yours to carry. Move it out of your body. How deep can you let yourself feel and let go. Five more breaths. Let's go. Two more breaths. One more. Take a deep inhale at the top now and just hold it at the top and see your peace and your purpose. How much can you feel into all the good in your life? How much can you give back to yourself? Whenever you're ready, let that breath hold go and begin to take a deep inhales through the nose, long exhales through the mouth. You give so much to others and other people. How much can you give that back to yourself with your next breath in? Breathe in the feeling of love. Let it wash over you. Breathe in that intention, that intention that's already you. Maybe you've just forgotten. Three more breaths here. One more deep inhale in and let it all go now. And just hold your breath out here for a moment and feel the feeling of gratitude. Gratitude for yourself for showing up this day with your breath. We don't always have to like what we're thankful for, but we can still be thankful for it. You can let that breath hold. Go now and just slow the breath.
Down here.
And just tune back into your body. Maybe wiggle your fingers and your toes and Just come back into the space. You can open your eyes whenever you're ready. Notice now any changes that you feel in your soma, in your somatic being. How do you feel now? How closer do you feel to that intention? It was such an honor to have you all here for this daily practice and for those of you who this was your first time, so thankful that you spent some time here joining me with your breath. Let's take one more deep inhale together and let it all go.
