The difference between feeling like life happens to you versus feeling like you're writing it comes down to ownership. When you make conscious choices instead of just reacting, you build a stronger sense of self-worth and create a coherent story about who you are.
Chapters
If you've always felt victim to the world, I promise your worthiness tends to be low. If you felt like the author, if you felt like the creator, if you felt like you were in director mode, like you've been directing the scenes and the character of your life, doesn't mean you controlled them all and doesn't mean you were the ultimate creator or director. It just means when you think back throughout your life, do you see yourself making conscientious and conscious choices over and over and over and over again? In other words, you've established a pattern of ownership in your life or you have not. The more that pattern has been true for an enduring period of time, the more you are able to form a cohesive narrative that you are the author in some ways of your life. The longer you had the ownership mentality of your life, the more sense of worth I promise you have, the longer you were in reaction mode and you didn't have ownership. That is why you don't feel as strong as you deserve to feel.
