First time. So thankful to have you not grounded. That's what we're here for. We're here to have this in community and be able to ground together and use the breath as a means to do that for and what's really important about recognizing what you feel now is then you can see later, by the end of the practice, how do you feel different? How do you feel? How does your soma feel? How connected do you feel? How grounded do you feel? Maybe things come up that are hard. Maybe things come up that make you feel more free and more alive. Just honoring what that looks like. So for those of you who do not know me, my name is Morgan and I assist with social media on the team with Somatic as long with the guided daily practices live. And I'm so thankful to hold this space for you and this work can truly change your life. If you let found me when I was at a space of total numbness, disconnection, burnt out as an entrepreneur and I never expected breath work to be the tool that would connect me back to myself and it can do that for you. You. I'm so thankful to have you all and I know I have some people tuning in for the first time. So just going to share how this breath will look. It's structured very similar to a full Somatic journey. And again, if you're new here, maybe you're unfamiliar with what that looks like and what that is is truly a journey of releasing and receiving. And you're using two very basic forms of breathing patterns that will guide you through the entire time to really get back in your body, in your soma and be able to release and then receive. Most importantly, to receive how you actually want to show up and feel. So that beginning breath is going to be more intense. It's meant to clear. It's meant to get you back into your nervous system, into your soma. So if this is your first time, maybe even try it lying down. If that feels right to you, you will have your eyes closed the entire time. It's an inward journey. A lot of times we do it sitting up with our hands on our knees, just like I'm sitting here, maybe legs crossed. But I encourage you to feel what feels right to you in your body. Take it at your own pace. I'm here to guide you always. But this is your practice so that beginning clearing breath will be in and out through the mouth. So think of it like a broom sweeping out what doesn't belong in your stoma, what doesn't belong anymore in your body that you've been carrying. So it will be those in and out breaths through the mouth, like this, just like that. And notice my exhale is swift, but the pace is not about how fast you go, but more how deep you go again, like a broom sweeping out what doesn't belong in you, what maybe was never yours to carry in the first place, sweeping that out. And then I will take you into a breath hold and I'll tell you when to go into that. And this is your opportunity to digest whatever it is that's coming up for you, to create that space, to pause from any breathing, to allow your body to fully connect. And then I'll guide you out of that breath hold into more gentle breathing. That will be in and out, through, in through the nose and long exhales through the mouth. Like this, just like that, much more gentle again. This will be at your own pace. And it will be two rounds, one of the clearing, one of the re patterning, about 30 breaths, I'll be guiding you. And then at the breath hold, if you need to release your breath hold before I cue you back into the more gentle breathing, you absolutely can. This is your journey, this is your practice. If you feel any maybe tingling in your body, maybe any light headed feelings again, feel free to lie down. If you do lie down, I do advise once the practice is finished, just to come back slowly. If you need to take your time coming back and just gently, you know, raise yourself up, definitely just take it slow and at your own pace. I'm so thankful to have you. It's so important to make that time for yourself. This, the busyness and the, the energy that we have throughout our day. It's so important to put that back into ourselves and really connect and examine what it is that we've been holding on to that was maybe never ours to hold and ready to release. So if you're ready, I'm going to go ahead and invite you. If you're tuning in, we're doing a daily somatic breath work practice. Go ahead now and just close your eyes and just go inward, inward into your body and just bring awareness to your breath and how it wants to feel and show up, creating this calm and grounded space where you won't be distracted. And as you bring awareness to your breath, I invite you to notice any sensations your body showing you any physical sensations. Maybe you feel warmth, maybe tension, maybe you feel loose, maybe you feel energy moving through you. Just honor that sensation, just the sensation and tell yourself, I'm noticing blank, I'm Noticing tension. I'm noticing warmth for me. I'm noticing a little scratching in my throat. I feel cold coming on. Just bringing awareness without judgment or changing it. And from there, take it one step deeper. What is the emotions that you're feeling? Just the emotions. And feel that fully without judging it. And let's take it one step deeper. And with this inward journey, what is the story you're telling yourself right now in this moment? Notice that story. Again, no judgment on it. We often judge ourselves so easily. This is a practice of somatic awareness, of peace, healing apart those sensations and those emotions and those stories. Maybe they're all connected. And before we begin this breath work, I invite you to feel into one thing, one intention, one thing you want to receive after this practice. And just know this intention is something you already are. There's just something in the way. Something's blocking it. Okay, with eyes still closed, hold on to that intention and begin to take those deep inhales and exhales through the mouth. Find your rhythm. Good. Keep going. What's in your way? What's blocking you? Breathe it out. Where have you felt heavy and disconnected? That's not you. Clear it out. Use the breath where you felt stressed. See it clearly. Breathe it out. Five more breaths. Let's go. Breathe out the weight of other that was never yours to carry. Two more breaths and one more deep inhale in and just hold that at the top and see where you felt like lack of freedom in your life. Bring it up. Feel it fully. What haven't you been letting yourself feel? Whenever you're ready. Can just let that breath hold. Go. Begin to take deep inhales through the nose, long exhales through the mouth. Breathe in that freedom and your power. Breathe in that peace that's already you. There's just something in the way. Breathe in your strength that no one can take from you. Breathe in your aliveness. Three more breaths here. One more deep inhale in and just let it all go. Just hold that out for a moment. Now, whenever you're ready to take that first breath in, breathe in the feeling of gratitude. What are you thankful for? What have you may be taken for granted. Breathe that in. Because we don't always have to like what we're thankful for, but we can still be so thankful for it. Begin now to just slow your breath down, down. And feel that energy just coming back into your body and up through your spine, all the way out the tip of your head, just grounding you in this moment, Grounding you in your power and Your freedom and your peace begin now. Just to bring awareness back into the space, back into your body. Maybe wiggling your fingers and your toes and maybe slowly coming back. Just bringing awareness back to your breath and noticing where you're at now. That 1 to 10 scale, just noticing it and honoring exactly where that is by something is as simple as the breath. You can change just the state of your whole being, the state of how you want to show up for your day, for yourself first and then for others. You can't pour from an empty cup and you have to give it back to yourself first. So just notice how you're feeling and honor that. Honor yourself for showing up today for your breath and for yourself. It's a powerful thing. It's a vulnerable thing to dive into yourself. But that is where change and transformation happens. For yourself first and then for others. It's a ripple effect and it's so powerful. Thank you so much for coming. You're welcome. So thankful and honored to be here.
