Start Your Day with Breathwork | Guided Meditation

Daniel Borschel guides you through a two-part breathwork practice: first, quick diaphragmatic breaths to release tension, then deeper inhales and long exhales to reset your nervous system. Do it daily, lying or sitting with eyes closed, for five minutes of clearing and receptivity.

One in the comment here. And let me know if this is your first time tuning in, if you're coming back again, having come many other times, so honored as always to have you. This practice is something that can be done daily, that's simple. That is a simple release and receive that can truly transform your life. It's something that I did, ended up doing for over 100 days in a row. And the intention was just one day. Just one day. I see some of you coming for the first time. Amazing. So thankful to have you. So you want to make sure you can have a space where you will not be interrupted for just a few moments. For this practice you will have your eyes closed. You can be lying down if that feels right. Or sitting up just like I'm sitting. Hands on my knees or even hands just in your lap. Whatever's comfortable. There isn't really a right or wrong way with that. Just what feels right. So many people for the first time. Amazing. So this is structured the same as a somatic journey, but as I said, much shorter and something that you can do daily. So I will guide you through two rounds of breathing and the first round will be more softer or excuse me, more clearing, more clearing breathing. So that clearing breath is deep diaphragm breaths that will fill your entire stomach and your whole back. Deep breaths. A lot of us breathe just in our chest and this is your chance to take those deep clearing breaths to clear out whatever's been in the way. Even if it's one thing you clear out today. That is an incredible opportunity. So deep breaths just like this, just like that. Like a broom. Think of it like a broom sweeping out what does not belong. It's much more about the depth of your breath over, not necessarily the speed. This is your own journey, your own pace. I'm just here to guide you. And then you will go into a single breath hold after those breathings and I will guide you into that and just tell you to take a deep, deep inhale in and hold it at the top. And that will be your opportunity to digest and pause any breathing to see what's coming up for you in this breath work. And then the second half will be that more gentle re patterning breath. Deep inhales through the nose, long exhales out through the mouth, that receiving breath. Just like that. And I will be guiding you with the music and my words, my breath. And if you forgot any of that, do not worry, I will be guiding you the entire time. The goal is to be in your body, inward and to take this moment for yourself. So let's go ahead now. Just close our eyes and just tuning inward, Just bringing awareness to your breath. Rising and falling. And any weight or doubt that you're feeling, feeling in this moment, you have the power to release it. Tuning in, tuning inward. Feeling that connection to yourself and maybe even something already coming up for you. Stay with that breath. I'm with you the entire time. All right, let's begin those clearing breaths. Just find your own rhythm. Good. Stick with that. Wherever you've been, playing small and holding yourself back. Breathe it out. Clear out where you felt suppressed. Breathe it out. Let it go. Wherever you felt contracted. Release it. Breathe out that weight, that weight that was never yours to carry. Breathe it out. Maybe shake it out if you need to. Good. Five more breaths. You're almost there. Three more. Clear it out. One more deep inhale in. Just. Just hold it at the top for a moment and see your fears. See where you've been disconnected from that truest self. Bring it up. Feel it fully. Whenever you're ready to let that breath hold go. Breathe it out and begin to take deep inhales through the nose. Long exhales out. Saving in all those parts of you that left. And during times of doubt, times of playing so small in your life. And breathe in that power, feeling that freedom in every one of your cells. Sa. And that worthiness to show up in this world with your own unique callings. Breathing in that strength and that connection that's always been you. Three more breaths. One more deep inhale in the deepest of the practice and just let it all go. Holding it out for a moment, feeling that expansion, that empowered self that you that's always been there. There's just something in the way. Whenever you're ready, begin to take just soft inhales and exhale, Bringing awareness back into the space, into your body with a deep inhale. Breathing in that energy from the ground beneath you, rising up all the way into your spine, into your back, up into your shoulders and neck, and all the way out into your head, up into the heavens to something greater than yourself. But knowing you are the center point. And with your breath, you can always tune back in and take back that power and that sovereignty in yourself. Take one more deep inhale together. Just let it all go. Bringing again awareness. Maybe wiggling your fingers and your toes, maybe some soft movement and slowly just opening your eyes. Coming back into the space. Coming back as slow as you need to, Just honoring whatever your body's telling you, maybe even journaling it after this practice. Such an honor to have you all tuning in for yourself and some of you for the first time.
