In this motivational segment, Coach Raphael Djine (Speaker A) explains how a negative personality—characterized by pessimistic self‑talk, constant criticism of others, and a habit of focusing on what won’t work—undermines personal achievement. He illustrates the problem with anecdotes about labeling callers as “negative John” and people who dismiss talent by nitpicking superficial details. Djine emphasizes that internal dialogue shapes outcomes; when individuals tell themselves they can’t, they limit their growth. He proposes a proactive mindset: replace defeatist questions with solution‑oriented ones, seek learning opportunities (e.g., moving to China to learn Chinese, obtaining a pilot license), and never place self‑imposed limits. He uses vivid metaphors, such as refusing to drink coffee poisoned by an enemy, to stress the importance of guarding one’s mind against toxic thoughts. The core message is that protecting the mind from negativity and actively re‑framing thoughts are essential steps toward success.

Point number ten: negative personality. Negative personality. If you are somebody negative, I mean, I have so I know so many negative people. I mean, people when they call me, I even register the name negative. I put negative and then the name like negative John, negative Peter. I don't answer those guy. I have to read the text first. What do they need? Could I help them? Because they are so negative. They carry, you know, you carry the spirit of who you are. And when you have a negative personality, it affects you more than anybody around you. I know certain, some talented people, but they are just so negative. They always see the glass half empty. They always see the devil in Everything. They always see the bad thing. If you say, man, this girl is very, very, very talented, talented, they will say, yeah, but her hair, I don't like her hair. Why does she color her hair red? There's always— they're looking for what is not going to work. And they speak, they talk down about even about themselves. They talk down to themselves. Their communication with themselves is so bad. Oh, I can't do that. I will never do that. I don't think I was born for that. I don't think I'm equipped to do it. That's a negative personality. Instead of talking to yourself that way, ask yourself, how can I do it? Who do I— could I learn from? Face a new thing, even if it's something you don't know. Dealing with something you don't know doesn't mean you cannot upgrade yourself to handle that. I would never tell somebody I can't speak Chinese.
What's that? Okay, how can I do it?
Maybe I need to move to China for 3 months. Maybe I need to get an instructor so he can start work with me. I know I can do it. There's nothing on this earth— matter of fact, I challenged myself last year. I said, hey, let me finish my private pilot license. And I pushed it. 3 months. It was not easy. Never place limitation on yourself. And never, ever, ever poison yourself. Imagine if you have your— if you have a coffee and your enemy drop, you know, dead poison in it, would you drink the coffee? No. If your best friend By mistake, make a drop. Would you drink the coffee? No. If you, while you are trying to kill some insect, you drop something by mistake, would you drink it? No. Why? Because it's going to kill you. The first things you must guard is your mind. Don't let any negativity get in your mind. Lock, put a key on your mind, because anytime Anytime you— anytime when you— the communication with yourself is diminishing you, is crushing you, is disempowering you, it carries you to the way of loser. You will never succeed that way.
