AFRICA TOUR DAY 7, June 21st, 2021 | iLEAD GLOBAL Par Coach Raphael Djine

In this bilingual (English/French) live coaching session, Anon Latanga, a finance‑background entrepreneur and iLead Global board member, together with Coach Annabelle, guides the audience through a step‑by‑step framework for converting personal passions into profitable businesses. The talk begins with Latanga’s personal credibility (finance, entrepreneurship, crypto trading) and the universal problem of people hating Monday because they work on things they don’t love. The core premise is that a passion, when recognized as a unique value proposition, can be monetized, especially thanks to the internet’s ability to reach global markets. The session outlines four practical stages: (1) identifying a sellable passion through introspection and feedback; (2) assessing market demand, demographics, and pricing; (3) building personal brand and marketing oneself; (4) preparing the product/service, validating it via surveys, pre‑sales, and SWOT‑style feedback, and iterating based on criticism to differentiate the offering. Real‑world examples (KFC founder, online courses, iLead’s School of 360, farming venture) illustrate each point. The speakers stress preparation, honest validation, and continuous improvement as essential to turning passion into profit.

I'm an African first and I'm a Cameroonian by birth. I am an American by naturalization. So few things about me. I have a background in finance. Over the years I've worked with major corporations like Bank of America, Citibank. Then after a while, I transitioned to become an entrepreneur. I have a couple of businesses, and I've helped a lot of people to start businesses as well. And I trade and I invest in the financial market. So anything of cryptocurrency, stock exchange, and everything that has to do with finances. If you need financial advice, you have a lot of money in your bank account, you don't know what to do, with it, I'm the guy to contact. You know, I, I've been in the market for a very long time, so I trade all currencies, anything that is tradable I trade and I invest in those. And right now we're putting a fund to help people that have a lot of money and they need somebody to help them manage, invest the money for them. So that's something we are working on. And I'm a coach in iLead, I'm part of the iLead USA board, a co-founder as well. And it is an honor for me today to be asked by Coach Rafael to be your speaker tonight. For those of you that are worried, like, hey, I thought Coach Rafael was going to be here, don't be worried. An apple does not fall too far from the tree. You are in good hands. We are going to have an amazing time today. I can promise you, today is going to be the best night you have ever had. Are we all ready for that? Yes, sir. We are ready. Oh yes, we ready. All right, that's great. Coach Annabelle, over to you. We gonna go like that. I'm gonna say you translate so we don't lose a lot of things in the midst of translation.
Thank you. All right. Merci beaucoup, Coach.
All right, so are you all ready for today? We're gonna be talking about turning your passion to profit. Turning your passion to profit. That subject by itself, it produced a lot of excitement in me. Your passion to profit. There is nothing as great as doing something you love and you get rewarded for it.
We live in a world where people do what they don't like. And in America, statistics was proven that many people hate Monday. When Monday is a working day, people don't like to go to work on Monday because a lot of people do what they don't love to do. A lot of people. And many of you might find yourself, you are doing a job, yes, you're making money, but you don't love what you're doing. You are just barely surviving. Because you have to keep things going, right? But you really don't love what you do. You feel like you are in a bondage. You feel like you're in a cage. I experienced that as well when I used to work. Sunday was the worst day for me. When I think about Monday that I'm gonna go back to work, it wasn't as fun because I was not doing something I was so passionate about. It was just a job. But today we have the luxury to learn how to turn your passion to profit. To do what you actually love, what you enjoy, and you make so much money out of it as well. That is what we're going to talk about today, and that is what excites me. Coach Annabelle.
We all, we have things. That we absolutely love to do. Everybody has something they love to do. Coach Annie has something she loves to do, like Coach Jerome, Coach Stephanie, Coach Mesme. Like, there's something you love to do, something you're passionate about. It just comes organic. Coach Annie, yours could be like, you just like to, to make people happy. You just like to, to give advice to people. Advice to you comes natural. It's like a therapy when you give advice to people, you share your knowledge with people, you feel so happy. And everybody comes to you all the time because of that, and it's something you enjoy doing. To some of you, it might just be like cooking. You just love to cook. How many of you have those people? When you cook, you invite people to come eat for free. It's something you really, really love. We all have something we are passionate about, something we really love. Are we all, are we all, are we all together? Something you love, that thing you love, that is what is your distinction. That is what is going to make you to stand out. That is your gifts. That is what makes you to be separated from any other body. That is your uniqueness. What you're passionate about is your uniqueness. It is very, very important for us to take that seriously. What you are really, really passionate about. Let me know what you guys are passionate about in the chat. What are some things you're passionate about? What are the things you do effortlessly? What are the things that you can wake up from your sleep and start doing? Mine is speaking. You woke me up in the morning, I don't have to prepare. I open my mouth, water just gonna keep coming. I'm just gonna keep talking. That is something I'm passionate to do. It comes to me natural. Let me see what you're passionate about. Grace, cooking. Excellent. Keep coming, guys. What you're passionate about, the things you love to do, it comes organic, it's natural, effortless. Baking. That's amazing. That's amazing. You see, we all have something we love to do, but this teaching is gonna make us to see How can I take what I love to do and start making money out of it? There was a man, Kentucky Fried Chicken. The guy, he loved how to make chicken, an older man, but he took that thing he loved and he turned it to become a business. Today it's a big franchise, it's everywhere around the world. Just something he loved, but he was able to take that thing from a passion to To become a prophet. Passion to profit. Coach Annabelle.
You see, we all have something we are passionate about, but the thing is like many people do not think they can make money out of their passion. Many people just do it. They just feel like this is just something natural. It's just something I just do. But they don't think about making money from it. But that is the most important thing, and that is, that is something that you can make money out of it. Because like we said, it's what distinguishes you, is what many other people cannot do. Most of the time, the things you're passionate about is what puts your— that uniqueness. You can cook something, everybody eat that thing and be like, this thing looks so delicious, I had this thing before but it tastes different. Because it is that distinction. You gotta think that you can make money out of it. You can make money from your passion. You can make some extra income from your passion. You gotta think about that, Coach Annabelle.
And thanks to the internet today, it is very easy for us to come to take our passion and make it become a profitable business. Very, very easy due to the internet. For example, you can have a skill set. Your skill set could be like you are good with math. You're good, you're good with math. That's a skill set to have. You can take that skill set because of the internet, you start teaching kids around the world from Congo-Brazzaville. You can literally sit in your room and teach people just French. French could be a skill, something you're passionate about. You're passionate about the language French. Because of the internet, you can sit down in your room and teach people in other countries that want to learn a second language as French. So today, because of the internet, it is very, very easy for us to convert our passion to become profit. Because of the internet, people create courses every day. All the things you learn in school You can create courses today and sell online, and it doesn't matter how you look like because there's somebody in the world that needs what you have. Because of the internet, you can put it online and people will pay for you to teach them what you know. Your knowledge now cannot be wasted. Your intellectual property is valuable. You can use it to make money out of it. That is the beauty we have today because of the internet, guys. We cannot sleep over this. We gotta wake up. And take advantage of this opportunity and begin to turn all our profits, all our passion to profit. Everything that you know how to do, everything. I must say, that is what I'm doing. I'm taking my knowledge about trading and putting a course together and teach people around the world. People giving me money for it because of the internet. Your passion can easily become profit. Coach Annabelle.
And that is what we have over here in I Lead Global, the School of 360. We literally coach Rafa with all his experiences, almost 20 years of experience, more than 20 years in the US. He takes all that knowledge, he put it School of 360, and all you have to do— it doesn't matter where you are, you can gain all this wisdom, all this experience because of online. That is an example of what it means to take your passion to profit, your experience to profit, and we are all benefiting from that. Those of you that are part of the School of 360, you can attest to that. Or the School of Coaches. There is so much knowledge that you're learning from there. Just because of that, you can quadruple your income. Because he understood that because of the internet, you can turn your passion to profit. And any other— any of you that is not part of 360, I want to let you know you're missing something that will literally help you to double your income. If you can just go there and take advantage of the internet, learn from this great mind that has done it. He has been there, he has done it, and the information is there, 360. We are all a product of it. We are producing businesses like crazy. As a matter of fact, just this year I've produced many businesses. I just got into farming this year just because of 360. So you don't want to miss that opportunity, and that is what it means to take your passion to profit. And we are proving that to you, Coach Annabelle.
Very, very important, guys. Passion. Turning your passion to profit. Now you've seen the importance of your passion. You're not going to overlook your passion. And I know the critical question that comes to mind is like How do I turn my passion into profit? If some of you are like me, I'm that guy, I like, I like the how. I don't like when you just say things. Show me how to do it. Give me the roadmap. Now you've made us understand that we all have a passion. Our passion is our distinction. Our passion is our uniqueness. Our passion is something that can give us a fortune. Our passion is something that we can do to make money. How do we go about to turn our passion to profit, Coach Annabelle?
And in order for you to turn your passion to profit, whatever passion you have, like I said, because Annie could be cooking. Coach Fluoride, it could be just giving counseling to people. Coach Mondela, it could be just advising people. People come to you for advice. Sometimes even people that you feel like they're doing better than you, they come to you for advice. Sometimes people come for you— for those who are married, they come to you for marriage counseling. And when you give them advice Things happen to work out for them. Some of you just love to work out. You work out all the time. You encourage people to be fit, to exercise. You're passionate about that. How do you take that to become profit? You now have to ask yourself important questions. The first question you gotta ask is that, what products or services can I sell? My passion, is it something that is sellable? Is this something you can sell to people? Because if you want to turn your passion to profit, you got to understand sell. Can you sell that thing you're doing? Is cooking sellable? Could you sell the ability to speak? Is that a business you can sell? The ability to, to give advice to people, is that something you can sell? There are a lot of consulting firms that are making a fortune. Is that something you can sell? Whatever business you'll be forming is what you're passionate about. Is it something you can sell? If you are passionate, like cosmetician, cosmetician, to help people that are struggling, older women, elderly women, is that something that is sellable? Is there a need for that? Is there a service for that? Is that, is that a demand for it? Because if you have to change your passion to profit, it has to be sellable. It has to be something that people need. It has to be something that people actually look you for. Coach Annabelle.
And the next question you gotta you gotta ask is where where can I sell them? Where speaks of the market. Is there a market for it? Where where what classes of people? It speaks of the demographic. Is it needed by older people? Is it needed by younger people? Is it needed by children? What people of the society? Is it needed by the elite? Is it needed by the average people? Is it something for the poor people? Where? What classes of people need what I can offer? You have to answer the why question to be able to assess the market. And the next question you gotta ask is that, okay, now that there is— I know there is a market, how much can I charge? Is this something that could bring me money? How much are people willing to pay? Like, for example, Coach Messmer said he took luxurious cars to Africa. There was not a market for it because a lot of people, they could not afford to pay for that kind of a car. So if you are taking luxurious cars to Africa, the market might be slim as compared to the West where we have many people that want to live a luxurious life. You see, so when you start thinking about how much you can charge, how much can the people afford? Can they afford what I'm about to sell? If people are willing to pay 500 francs CFA for what you're about to offer, 500 francs CFA, would that be profitable for you if you do business? Would that number be profitable? You have to make sure you know how much you can charge so you make sure that And you are certain that this thing is a profitable venture. How much are you going to charge? That is the question that you got to ask, Coach Annabelle.
And the next question we gotta ask is that, how do you market yourself? Because you got to understand, no matter what product you have, no matter what passion you have, people will not buy into the product first. They will buy into you. People don't buy into a product, they buy into the person first. It doesn't matter the great idea you have. You might have an idea that could produce a billion dollars. If you want investors to come invest into that idea What they will buy— they will not buy into the idea first, they will buy into the person that is presenting that idea. How do you market yourself? You have a passion. We saw last time with Coach Raphael how to pitch. How do you sell what you have? That is an important skill. If you have a good idea, you have a good passion, you have something you can do, but you have to sell yourself. You have to be able to approach people You have to be able to make people see value in what you have. You have to convince people. You have to make people see value. Selling yourself is a big deal. For example, in America, like, you could literally get a job if you know how to sell yourself. If you know how to sell yourself, you know how to speak, you know how to communicate well, they will buy you before they even buy your skills. And that is the truth, because selling yourself is very, very important. If you have to turn your passion to profit, you've got to know how to sell yourself. Coach Annabelle, Coach Annabelle, please.
You gotta convert your passion to profit, but for you to do that as well, it's not enough for you just to be able to sell yourself. You got to be prepared. You have to be prepared. We saw that. People buy into you first before they buy into what you're selling. So it's very important for you to prepare yourself, prepare your product. You cannot just walk up and just say you have this good idea, you want to sell it. You got to prepare for yourself, prepare for it. What is the package? How are you presenting that idea? What package is it? It could be just a simple idea like someone who does like peanuts. I'm just saying basic things so many people can relate. The peanut, the groundnut, and all that. How are you presenting that thing? It might be cooking, it might be speaking. How do you present yourself as a speaker? It might be you're a good mathematics teacher, you're a professor, you want to sell your skills, your intellectual property. How do you prepare for it? What is, what is the content? What is the container? How do you approach people? Preparation is very, very important. You got to prepare In order to sell what you want to sell. Don't just wake up in the morning and just do it because now you know you can turn your idea to profit and you just want to just jump in the morning and just start doing it. No, take your time back and prepare for it. Preparation will bring about the motivation that is needed, the motivation that is needed so you can sell that idea, so you can keep going on to selling that idea. Coach Annabelle.
All right, it's not just enough now to prepare yourself. You got to be able to identify your passion and your interests. You have to be able to identify, you have to do an introspection, you have to look into yourself and look There are many passions, passions you might have, but which of those can be turned from passion to profit? Not all the passions you have will be something that is sellable. You have to be able to look and analyze and know exactly what passion. And for you to be able to do that, to identify those passions, you have to ask some quality questions like, what do you absolutely love to do? What do people tell you you are good at? Sometimes we don't know more what we are good at, but we need— we just need to pay attention and listen to people. There's something you can do and people always come to you for that thing, and people always appreciate you for that thing. And when you do it for people, people are happy. That by itself is an indication that that is something that could be turned from passion to profit. What people talk to you about. What people come to you for, what people appreciate you for. That is a guiding post towards your passion, what passion you can turn into profit. There are another question you gotta ask, another thing. When you do, it comes organic to you. There are some things that you do, you even forget about time. You don't even think about the time factor. You might just be working on your computer, for those who like computers. You can be sitting on your computer all day and you don't even forget that you're supposed to eat. Some people, it's just solving. You can be asked solving questions and the whole day— some people, it's just to work. They just like to be in the office the whole day. They sit on their desks, they are working, they don't even think about eating. What you're passionate about, sometimes you do it and you don't even care about time. That is how you identify your passions. The things you could go for days and do it and not even think about the time. Somebody said something, he said if you do what you're passionate, you will never work another day in your life. You will never work because it's fun. You can go 24 hours, you can go 18 hours, you can work endlessly because you enjoy doing that. That by itself, it indicates to you that is something you can take from passion to profit. The other thing you have to ask is like, what needs does that passion meet? Is there a need around you? Is there a need that could be met with your passion? Is there a need? What are the skills that people are willing to pay for? What are people willing to pay for? It's not enough to have a passion, but a passion that will be converted from passion to profit. It has to be something people are willing to pay for. Are people willing to pay for what you have? Now that you've identified your passion that could be turned into profit, it's not just enough for you just to be like, okay, I know this thing works, I'm just gonna go and start a business. You need to validate— you have to validate your passion. Validate your passion. And a good way to validate your passion You have to get the advice of people and listen to people. For example, you can ask your friends on social media if they'll be interested in what you have to offer as your passion. Ask people, hear what they have to think. Is this something that they'll be interested? Just put it on social media. You can write it on Facebook. For example, if I If I produce, if I produce something like, if I even if I just cook something basic like cooking, if I cook this meal, will people be willing to pay for it? I will have a good example. Kostunde, for example, he said from Nigeria that he used to grill just chicken and people, people will come to his house all the time. And Joseph Rita, he started a grill, fresh, fresh grill. And he's selling that chicken. You see, to do something like that, you can do a survey and ask it on your friends, your friends on social media. If I do this thing, if I make this roasted chicken, are people gonna be willing to pay for it? If I'm selling this kind of a car, are people gonna be willing to pay for it? If we open this school, will people be interested? If we start this foundation, Will people be interested? Just get the opinion of people, not just depend on yourself. Put it on social media and see the response you get. The other thing you can do is like, you can, you can even ask, you can even sell it before you, before people pay for it. There's something they're calling a pre-sale. You ask people to buy something before you actually supply the thing, just to see if there is a market for it, just to see if people are interested. Because the worst thing that can happen is for you to invest your resources and do something right and nobody's interested. So all these things now is helping you to know actually if this passion is something that can give you money. You put it on social media, you ask your trusted friends. Trusted friends, guys, I'm talking about trusted friends. You don't want those friends that they just tell you things you want to hear. You need honest friends that will tell you, hey, this thing is just crap, forget about this thing, this thing is not gonna work, there's no value in this thing. You get a couple of friends, have a sit-down with them, get their opinion. You can even invite people to come to your house to do a free try. You can organize something in a hotel and have people to come and just give them a taste of what you have to offer. Get their feedback, get their opinion. Do this assessment to see if people are actually interested? Is this something that people need? Is this something that is relevant? Is this something that can change people's life? Is this something that can add value to the life of people? Because people will pay for something that adds value to them. People will pay for something that answers a problem. People will pay for something that gives a solution. So when you do all these assessments, it's a way for you to know that there is potential in this business. There is potential in what I'm doing. Very, very important so your resources are not wasted. You do this like kind of like a brief SWOT analysis to know what is the strength, what is the weakness of this business. After you've done all that to validate if your passion could be turned into profit, you know, when, when you start taking things to the public, guys, what you got to know is like Don't think everybody will clap their hands and celebrate you to be like, oh, this is a great idea, this thing is going to produce millions of dollars and stuff like that. You know, when you are asking people's opinion, you gotta be ready for it. And sometimes it will not be what you want to know or what you want to hear. People might tell you there is no potential in this thing. People might be too blunt. People might tell you, hey, we are not interested. And many, many people might tell you you're not interested. They are not interested. As a matter of fact, the people that are interested might be less than the people that are not interested, you see. But this should not stop you. It's something you have to be ready for. When you start asking opinions and taking things out there, they could tell you their honest opinion, and it'd be like, maybe your idea doesn't have potential, maybe the business is not scalable, maybe there is no need for the business in the environment. Maybe you're— maybe the price is too high. Maybe people don't want what you have to offer, and they come back to you after you've done your assessment. That is when many people give up, when they get all those feedback from people. Rather than using the feedback for them to improve upon, the feedback crushes them, and they stop everything, and they just quit altogether. But you shouldn't do that. Even when the feedback is negative, that should— that does not mean you have to stop. Is a good sign, but it should be an indication that you have work to do. When the feedback is not a good feedback, now you have to go back to that business, you have to go back to that product, you have to go back to that service and start asking critical questions. You say, ask yourself, what makes this product different from others? What makes this service different? How does this service differentiate himself in the market? How do I differentiate myself among all people? How does my business stand out? How does my company stand out? What can I do to make this better? How can I improve upon this product so that the people might be interested for it? You have to ask that question. Don't quit when you have the negative response, but use it to be informed on how to do things better. Are we understanding? Use that to inform yourself and ask critical questions like, how better can you make this product? How could you make it better? How could you make the whole experience better? How could you increase the quality? Maybe the quality was not too good. If you do something and people test it, get another people, get a team of people together, do some brainstorming together. Work around it, improve upon it. When you do that, then now you've overcome all the obstacles that came your way. Because there is no business, there is no great idea, there's no great product that will come to the market without facing obstacles. But when you have these assessments and you don't let that to crotch you, it helps you now to be a step ahead because you overcome those obstacles. So when you're going back the second time, you'll be well prepared and you give now something that'll be more valuable to the people. And that now might give you a positive response that you've always wanted to get. I was just informed by Coach Jesse my time is up, and I'm just gonna round everything. Thank you also for so much for listening. Remember, if we have to take our passion to profit, there are 4 things we have to remember and we have to keep it close to heart. The first thing, you have to be able to know your passion, identify your passion, and you got to prepare for it. Prepare yourself for it. Preparation gives you the motivation that is required. The second thing, you have to solicit the advice of people online or people in your community, your friends, to be able to know if that passion is something that is sellable. If there's a unique value proposition to that, it's something that you can sell. You have to ask your friends and you have to validate, validate that, prove it, you know, do like the brief SWOT analysis, the assessment evaluation. And lastly, you have to determine what sets you apart. If you have a failed trial, you have to know like what's— how can you make a difference? How can you improve upon what you're doing? And how can you set yourself apart so you can convert your passion Into profit.
