Hey, my friend, I know you are doing well. Hey, we are getting to where you need to— I mean, you already complete with your homework, and now you— how do you put yourself in front of these people? I always say it doesn't matter what you know, it doesn't matter what you, you know, the content, it doesn't matter what you have if you have a product or yourself to sell. Because now you are going to sell yourself to the boss so he can pay you more what you deserve. He can pay you the right price, right? That's how job is. I mean, we all in the business of sale. So even you as a— if you are a business owner, anytime people— when people walk in your office, they have to sell themselves to you. You know, they can prove they can be very talented, but if they cannot show you, if you cannot see it, you may not pay the right price. I always share this history. I mean, this, uh, it, it, it just— this joke. I, you know, I have a friend— it was not me— who has a guest speaker, you know, he came to preach at his church. Uh, you know, the guy was good though. He preached and preached. And you know, when you have a guest speaker, you want to give them certain amount of money, right? And this, you never know how much you're going to give them to them until they finish their preaching. So when the guest speaker preached, he was like, man, I give him $1,000. And then he says certain bad things and he lowers down to about $750. Like, no, I'll give him $750. Then he would say great things, man, I'll give him $2,000. And then he keeps knocking again, he can go back down to $500. Like, man, no, you kill it, $500. And then back and forth. Why am I saying this? It doesn't matter how talented you are, how gifted you are. At the point, you have to sell yourself. You have to sell yourself. If you know what you're worth, you must sell yourself right. So the point number 5 is that you must target between 5 and 10 companies that you want to work for. Remember, you know what you want to do, but you don't want to work for everybody. If you're here in the United States, if you're here in Dallas, and you want to work for airline company, you may choose American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Air France, Spirit Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Alaska. What airline do you want to work with? Cameco. Cameco? You have to decide, okay, I want to work with this airline. Air Ethiopia? You decide, you choose 5 companies. And when you choose that 5 company, you start getting interview. Remember I said to choose between 5 to 10 company because you want to make sure you present yourself to the maximum number of people. You don't want to just play with one. Now if you put yourself in front of 10 company, the chances that 3 will be competing for you. And not only that, when you talk to one, And you talk to 2, 3 companies, you can start pick the part of interview. And you can even decide based on the benefit package when they offer you which one is better. Remember, the bottom line is that you want to be in a better place where you want to be. So don't just go and apply to one company and be like, well, I already applied with this company. No, choose between 5 and 10. I say 5 and 10, not 4, not 3, not 2. 5 and 10. If you live in Ivory Coast, you can apply in company in Cam— in Cameroon. You can apply in company within company in Paris. You can apply out of the country too, but choose it. And what you, what you need to do is prepare your resume Choose company you want to apply with, few company you want to apply with. And you know, if it's a local company, get the appointment. That's the first thing. Send your resume out, get the appointment with them. And number 3, show up. Show up. You send an email, nobody respond. You call, you can't get anybody who can interview you on the phone. Go and knock on the door. Put your suit on. And go and knock on the door with your resume prepared and ask to speak with the HR. You have to do that. And when you look for a job, you have to be serious. You have to be serious about it. So in all this process, I have the whole blueprint of the steps you must follow. It's going to take way more time. I have that for you to check, the checklist, so you can check and check and check every step up. But make sure you show up. Number 1, get 5 to 10 companies, send the application over, get the appointment, send the email, get somebody on the phone. If it's not, show up. Go sit down. Go knock on the door and talk to them. Make sure you do that. So tomorrow, when we'll talk about when you get a job, when they actually recruit you, what do you do? Some people blow. Sometimes the charisma will get you in the door, but it's not going to make you stay in the door. So I'll teach you wisdom to stay and make your place right there within the company. See you tomorrow morning.
