HOW TO START A BUSINESS PART 4 | ILEAD GLOBAL by Raphael Djine

Raphael Djine argues that building a business and running it are completely different skills. Many entrepreneurs launch with a product but no operational expertise, leading to burnout and failure. He recommends delegating, hiring specialists, and getting coaching to learn how to actually manage what you built.

Hey, my friend. I know you are doing so, so, so well. Hey, I want to talk to you about running the business. Whatever business, you know, sometimes people get into business without thinking about running the business. It's just like a, it's just like somebody, let me use the, the, the, the company like Boeing that build plane. When you think about it, you know, the idea designer Design, put the equipment together. That's one thing, right? And when you have that plan, really, what is next? Could you use the same technician to fly those planes? No. If you don't, if you didn't think about it, you may have the planes sit for so long. Yes, it's so beautiful. The project is completed, but now you have to run that machine. Your business is just like a machine. that you have to run. You may not have the skill that you need to run the business, even though you started. This may shock you. I see people that, you know, they have money, they are passionate, they start a business and all that, but— and the business failed. Why? Because they don't know how to run the business. They don't— they just don't know how to run it. Matter of fact, that's why some businesses stay like— it's still like on the early stage, even after 20 years. Because then the plane never took off. Do you have the skill set that you need to run the business? Do you have a team in place? Before you get into any business or you want to start any business, have you ever thought about a team? Who's going to run this business with me? Who's going to come and help me, just like that plane, and fly this plane up and down, up and down, back and forth, back and forth? If you think you're going to do everything, I mean, that sounds great. But that's why people abandon business. I see a lot of people get in business and just walk away. They don't want the business anymore. Why? Because they are burned out. Because they have energy to start, but they don't have energy to run. To run the business, it demands a different mindset, different position, different skill set. You may be a great guy to start a business but not know how to run it. Any business person, any businessman out there, I don't care if you are make a billion or you are just make couple hundred million, you must know what you are good at it. And before you start any business, you may think, okay, who do I need for this position? Because there's no way you can do all. There's no way, really, if you want to take the business wherever you want to take it. So have you thought about who is going to run, how I'm going to run this business, how I'm going to— how am I going to take this business where I need to take? If it's not, you'll be burned down and then go out of business. I see people doing well, do well, do well, but at the point just say, you know what, So what? There's no challenge. There's nothing coming out of this again. I'm just tired. I'm not going to keep going with it. If you are not prepared properly, you'll be burned down and not run your business successfully. Do you have a team? Do you have somebody that can run? Do you have a skill set that you need? Do you have the proper training to run the business, not start the business? It's so important. If you don't, you must have it. That's why sometimes it's important to have a personal coach in business, to read about those that are in the same industry with you. It's important to learn from others how to take the business to the next level. All right, tomorrow I'll talk about something very, very important. Again, some businesses die because they start here, get on their way and then they don't know what to do. They're stuck and, you know, and they don't know what to do. So I'll talk about that tomorrow, how to scale the business to another level. All right. See you tomorrow.
