In this solo YouTube monologue, the speaker uses the act of fishing as an extended metaphor to illustrate the essential role of patience in all areas of life—business, personal goals, education, and relationships. He describes how sitting for long periods waiting for a catch trains the ‘muscle of patience,’ and argues that impatience leads to premature, harmful outcomes, likening it to a pre‑term birth. Patience is framed as a form of capital that must be invested in the process and timing of one’s endeavors. The speaker urges listeners to reflect on what they are ‘fishing’ for, to endure the waiting period, and to trust the law of patience rather than abandoning pursuits when results are not immediate.

This is where you exercise your patience. If you're in business and you are, you are a student of life, you have to learn patience. Sometimes when I come out here, I come here to exercise my patience. So you never know, you never know. It just, just like in anything. That's why sometimes you— I will bring this chair Because this is the time to really sit down and reflect. Reflect on the current situation and reflect on your life, reflect on your business. Do a self-examination and just exercise your patience. Sometimes you can sit like this for 30 minutes before you catch one, or for an hour, or for 2 hours, or even for 5 hours. So when it comes to fishing, when you come out to, you know, when it comes to this exercise, it requires a lot of patience. It requires a lot of patience. And I believe We are all fishermen. We— whatever you do in life, if you don't understand the power of patience, you miss a lot of stuff. Just like a pregnant woman, if you're not patient enough to wait for 9 months, you get the baby when it's not ready, and therefore the rest of your life you'll be in the hospital in and out with that child because you actually got that baby premature. And sometimes this applies into our life, for business. Um, sometimes we want things, but we want it right now. Uh, we don't want to wait. Uh, we, we just want it like now. So patience is capital, um, just like any university, any student. If you ever want to achieve anything, you set the goal and be patient. The patience is, you know, it's that timing of process. So, um, when I come out like this to fish, uh, it really, really helped me. It helped me and it teach me patience again. Sometimes things Some can depend on you, but some you have no control. And you have to depend on the process. You have to depend on timing. Just be efficient. So your question is, how long is it going to take? You have to submit yourself to the law of patience, the law of process. It may take 5 minutes, it may take 1 minute, and it may take a little longer. But however time it takes, it's gonna depend on me. If I really want the fish, I'll wait long enough to have it. But if I'm impatient, I can get up right now and go back home. Just walk right back inside the house. So, uh, the funny thing is that just last weekend I was here with the guys. They want to fish so bad. They came out and after a few minutes they were like, Dad, let's go back inside. I don't want it anymore. It's taking so long. And I'm trying to teach them that, son, it takes time. You have to exercise your muscle of patience. And I just want to tell somebody out there, whatever you want in life, You may have everything you need, you know. The lake is deep, it's full of fish. It's a beautiful lake, it's huge. But if we don't apply the patience, we're not going to go home with anything today. So whatever you want in life, be patient. Make sure you are patient and you have it. Just like me sitting here today and just fishing. I don't know how long it's going to take, but guess what? I'm going home with a fish today. How about you? What are you trying to fish in life and you give up because of the time? What have you given up? Maybe that business, maybe that degree you're trying to finish. But you was not patient. Maybe that relationship, the man asked you to wait for 3 more months, the lady asked you to wait for another year. You said, no, I'm not patient. You know, um, sometimes patience is the only thing we need to be successful in life. And whatever you want in life, you have to go to the house which is called patience. If it's not, you'll have premature things. All right, let's make sure we catch the fish.
