Inside Our New 900 Sq. Ft. Video Studio (2026 Tour)

Daron Pacheco tours his new 900-square-foot video studio in Abilene, built around a mobile "Mega Desk" that holds camera gear and lets him shoot one to three cameras from any angle. The space has a podcast table, a living-room set with a frame TV for client logos, and four Amaran lights controlled by iPad. He uses Sony FX30 cameras with Sigma lenses into a video switcher.

All right, it is time. It is time that I finally give you a proper tour of the new studio. Come on, crack a cold one, join me. All right, so we've been working on the studio almost for a whole entire year now. We were in our previous studio in downtown Abilene. We were there for 2 years, 2024 to 2026. Now in 2025, uh, December of 2025, we moved into this studio here. And so I wanted to talk through what everything is and give you an update on what exactly has been done to the studio so far. So as soon as you walk into the studio, you are greeted with a wonderful custom editing bay. There's— it's a desk where our editors can sit and absolutely cook. You walk past the editing bay, uh, there's a giant wood wall that is mobile. It has wheels. I put I didn't know that I was gonna be able to put wheels on it, but I did. Once you go past that, this is where the glorious part about the studio comes into play, is you can make it look exactly how you want to fit your needs for the type of content that you want. And so everything is modular, everything can be moved. We have multiple pieces of furniture you get to choose from. And so once— and that's this right here in the back that you're seeing. But we have a Mega Desk that has all of our camera gear mounted to it with wheels on it. Everything you could possibly need to create a great piece of content, whether that's one camera angle, 2 camera angles, or 3 camera angles, you get all of it with the Mega Desk, and it's on wheels so we can roll it around anywhere in the studio. We designed this to basically be able to Have a great shot from any angle of the studio. So like everything you're seeing behind me right now was intentionally designed to look great in any shot. And so this is one of my favorite shots. You're literally just sitting— the camera's on my desk, and so you're just looking out this way towards the studio. I get to turn around and see this beautiful, beautiful frame and, and picture of things. So you, you have the table over there. Obviously you can fit like 3 or 4 people around it. Typically 3 people on a podcast at the table is max. Maybe in the next 6 or 8 months we'll get a new table just to kind of refresh things. But then you have over here the living room set, and the living room set is kind of more casual, laid back. Like you're, you're having conversations, you're having coffee, you're having a Diet Coke. Actually, I don't recommend drinking Diet Cokes, Aspartame. But it's great. And so I thought personally people were gonna like the table setup more, but it's been about 50/50 so far between the table and the living room. Like, our clients love both and they utilize both. And so if they have like a weekly podcast going, like, we'll switch it up. If they have just like 2 people on the podcast, maybe we'll do it at the table. If they have 4 people on a podcast, we'll pull over to the living room, put their logo up on this Frame TV, which I bet you didn't know this was a TV right here, that is a TV. You can put anything on that TV. So we put logos, all kinds of things, but it's been super cool. So not only for our previous clients that we had migrate over with us, but our new clients. Like anytime we have a potential client or prospect come in, like the experience, it's all about the experience. Like I want the experience To be so good that they can't stop thinking about it when they leave. Like whether they work with us or not, I want it to be an experience of like holy mother of pearl. That was cool. That doesn't feel like Abilene. Maybe I can utilize some of those services. Maybe my maybe one of my friends can utilize that space because I'm telling you there's something about this space and maybe it's prayer, maybe it's Holy Spirit. But whenever you step into this space, the conversations that are had in this environment, whether we're recording or not, it has an environment that sparks creativity. I don't know what it is. Um, I don't know if it's just because I'm here all the time and I love the moody lighting and, and every angle looks good, but something about it sparks creativity. And so whether we end up working together or not, like, the people who come in here for meetings or just to see the studio They end up leaving, and this is the goal that I have. They'll end up leaving inspired. They end up leaving ready to go create things and build things. But we're using Amaran lights, so I have four Amaran lights, and I can control them. Hold on. I can control them with an app on my iPad. Crazy! Look at this. Ha ha ha! Bad light, good light. This just shows you another great example of. How important lighting is. If I didn't have any lighting, this is what it would look like. But I do. I have this wonderful light here next to my desk that I have on wheels so I can move it around wherever I want. So that's pretty much the entire studio tour. I, I hope you enjoyed today's video. I tried not to make it too long, uh, not talk about too many specs. We shoot Sony FX30 cameras, uh, with some great Sigma lenses running into a switcher. All the things. So let me know down in the comments section what else should we add to the studio. Let me know because I'm always trying to make it better, especially for you if you might be interested in even using the studio or have used it in the past. We're always trying to get better. My idea is not always the best idea out there, so let's grow, let's learn. Thanks for watching. Make sure to go subscribe.
