Black out your windows. There's a study from Japan, 800 and something adults. They found a 68% increase in depression from the amount of light that comes around curtains in the average city, just from street lights. So you need to black your room out. So black out your curtains. And if you have to, just to try this for a night, put up aluminum foil. Your neighbors will hate you. Then you go through. And this is critically important, every LED in your room, especially the green, blue and yellow, you gotta put a little piece of electrical tape over them or just unplug them. The TrueDark glasses company makes little dots you can put on them as well. Whatever it is, when you open your eyes, you see nothing. You shouldn't see your alarm clock, nothing. And sleeping in a black room, you won't even believe how you feel in the morning. And since you're already doing that, you might as well turn your thermostat down to 68 degrees, which also signals to your body, oh, it must be nighttime, because it's cooler. And that combination, you wake up and you're like a new person.
