This is a YouTube video titled "Do psychedelics enhance your consciousness?" containing a discussion between two speakers exploring the effects of psychedelics on consciousness, including ideas about non-local consciousness and neural pathways. The conversation is philosophical and experiential in nature, recorded in early 2025.
If our consciousness is non local, or at least some portion of it is. And by the way, I agree with you there. Then why is it that some pharmaceuticals, like psychedelics, have such a profound effect on us?
Wow. Well, I mean, I guess the best way I could describe that is just from my own personal experience. Right? Which is, you know, it's hard for me to say how it would be for mankind. I can only kind of speak to what I've personally experienced. I believe that psychedelics create new neural pathways in this antenna that allow us to access non local ways of perceiving the world. So I, I don't believe that, for example, psilocybin presents us with a hallucination per se. I believe that psilocybin reveals the illusion that we're already living.
