In 2016, there was a study of 30,000 women in Sweden, you know, the fair skinned country. They looked at them for 20 years. So this is a pretty good study. Lots of people, lots of time. UV light, you know, from sunlight in combination with the other colors, like infrared and red that's in the sun, makes something called pomc, which is a beta endorphin, and it makes melanin, which is where you get your tan from, and that helps to explain this effect.
