I have a say a love hate relationship with melatonin. If you are a teenager or younger, you don't want to be taking it because melatonin can push out the age of puberty in kids. In adults, low dose melatonin seems to be helpful for a lot of people and if you have cancer or something. High dose except high dose melatonin in some people causes abnormally low heart rate or arrhythmia. I know it happened to me so I was trying 4050 milligrams and some people do 100. I ended up going to the hospital because I had such a bad arrhythmia from it. And then I did a bunch of research and found case reports of this happening over and over. So super high dose melatonin if you have a reason, but slowly ramp up because it sucks to have your heart double beating and double skipping.
