Workout duration doesn't matter as much as intensity and recovery. Animals use short bursts of intense effort followed by rest, and humans get better metabolic health results from this pattern than from long, steady exercise.

The metabolically healthiest things you'll see out there are animals on the savannah. And you'll see this if you watch one of those YouTube lions, attackers almost ate me channels, and you'll see a predator chases a zebra or something. And if it gets away, as soon as things are done, it looks around and the whole thing goes. It just shakes and it's dropping adrenal hormones there. And then it eats grass and it's done. That is a perfect slope of the curve workout. And it was the fact that it returned back to baseline like nothing happened. Yeah, like nothing happened. With humans, we don't do that unless we do it specifically using the hacks that are in smarter, not harder. And what usually ends up happening there is we don't run as fast as we could because we don't need to. And then after we run as fast as we could, we don't recover fully because more is better. We try to, well, I'll just, you know, ride at 50% power. And it turns out that interferes greatly with the signal. So what I'm saying is slope up and slope down matters far more than duration.
