Dave Asprey says your eyes need interval training. Switch between looking at screens, objects six feet away, and the distant horizon throughout the day. Take 20-minute walks without your phone, or drive instead of sitting in an Uber, to give your eyes a break from close focus.

There's one simple thing you can do to change your vision. Every day you spend hours looking at your phone or looking at your computer. Well, for every minute you do that, to keep your eyes healthy, you would want to spend another minute or another hour looking at the horizon. But let's face it, you're probably not going to do that. The good news is that going for a walk for 20 minutes outside without staring at your phone, without wearing sunglasses, looking at trees, looking at the horizon, will relax your eyes. So, so will driving yourself versus sitting in the back of an Uber and staring at a screen. But during the day, what I do is I set up my laptop screen here and I put up a large TV about six feet away from where I'm looking. So I can look here or I can look here and then I make sure there's a window back there. So every day, dozens of times throughout the day, you look close, you look medium, you look far. Switching your focus is an exercise for your eyes. And if you want to be really fancy about it, you can stand somewhere where you can see the horizon and, and you look up close, five feet away, you look 20ft away, you look 100ft away, and you look as far as you can do and you switch rapidly between those. Think of it as high intensity interval training for your eyes. It works.
