Decision fatigue is a real problem and it's powered by your mitochondria. What that means is that if you have to make too many decisions throughout the day, your brain gets tired and then you just don't have decision capacity left for big important decisions. So if you're sitting there going, what should I do for lunch? Well, you could do what I do. I keep things really simple. I focus on not eating stuff that I know is going to screw up my gut for me. Kale, spinach, whole grains, a lot of the so called healthy things that, you know, give you gas. So screw the beans. What am I gonna do? I'm gonna focus on beef. I'm gonna focus on making sure I have some kind of healthy fat along with the beef. Likely grass fed butter. I'm gonna look at eating things like blueberries and I'm gonna have coffee and I'm going to have salt. And if I do those every day, maybe I'll have some white rice, maybe I won't. I don't eat a big variety of foods because you feel much better when you eat the foods that work for you and work for your microbiome. And your pro tip here is you can vary your spices and herbs because that's where all the good plant polyphenols and minerals really live. Spinach and kale, it's about oregano in thyme.
