So one of the things that bodybuilders just love, that drives me insane is oats. Oats are full of phytic acid. So if you go back to the bulletproof diet, the orange book, the book people lost a couple million pounds of fat on that diet. It's an international bestseller. And in that book, I talk about, in the first chapter, lectins, which are a type of irritant found in plant foods. I talk about phytic acid, I talk about mold toxins in food, talk about omega 6s in food, and I talk about histamine in food. And these are the five things that trash almost everyone. You eat a meal, you don't feel good the next day. It was one of those. You got to figure out which ones you're sensitive to and then cut them out. But you don't feel phytic acid at first. You can eat something full of phytic acid. You won't notice anything. But what it's doing is it's pulling zinc and calcium and other minerals out of your body. So you could be looking to lift heavy and have strong bones. And you eat a bunch of oats because you needed some carbs. It doesn't work like that because even oat milk has phytic acid in it, and it's pulling minerals from your bone. So the thing I've learned over the course of 20 years of creating that biohacking movement and just working with millions of people, if you don't have minerals, you can put any signal you want into the body, and the body won't respond.
