A critical look at plant-based diets and their hidden costs. Farming machinery kills wildlife, herbicides like glyphosate damage soil life, and agricultural practices harm ecosystems in ways most people don't consider.

How many animals died to make ramen? Well, all you have to do is go to a farm where there's a big tractor going through a field and it's cutting everything. And if there is still life on the land, which there is not because we sterilized land, by the way. That's all deaths per calorie too. But if there's life there, there will be birds flying around eating the turtles and even the baby deer that get just chopped up by the combines. It is brutal. Everything dies. Turtles, bunnies, mice, salamanders, frogs. See how I picked the cute ones? You know, beetles don't matter to most of us. Or earthworms. But all of this, if you eat even one bite of non organic grain, the amount of glyphosate that is legal to have in your soil is 300 times higher than the amount that causes seizures and earthworms. So you are killing thousands to tens of thousands of lives when you have your bowl of tofu. And that's stupid because you are a hypocrite if you think a plant based diet doesn't kill things.
