And we're live.
Hello.
Hello. Hello. Welcome to the digital Nomads daily podcast. I am so excited to record this episode. It's also been a while since we recorded some episodes. Good reasons for that. I have an episode specifically about that on the podcast, but that's not about, that's not what we're going to talk about today. I have here for you a Super sweet, humble, loving, ambitious, freedom printer, freedom entrepreneur. I'm super excited to have you here, Lavinia. Welcome to Digital Nomads Daily.
Yay, thank you. I like this intro.
Well, and I know that you're all of that because we had the amazing opportunity to actually hang out in beautiful Morocco, one of the places that you often call home.
Yeah.
So yeah, that was really cool. Yeah. Wait, was it in Morocco? Like when was it in November when we were both there? The first time that we met in November?
Uhuh, at Mino Maya.
Yeah.
That's so crazy though, because I feel like I know you much longer.
I guess we had been connecting on LinkedIn and stuff, but yeah. We connected quite quickly when we met in person in November.
Yeah. Yeah.
That was so cool. So we always start the episode with a few quick questions. And my first question is, how long have you been Building your business.
I've been doing the offside for four and a half years.
Perfect. Love it. Wow, four and a half years. That's so much time already.
Yeah, ten flies though.
And when you started this business, where were you based? Where were you located?
Well, it started super organically, but I was in Switzerland and a friend was like, Hey, since you have time, do you want to organize a trip? And our first trip was in Lisbon. So it didn't even start as a business, started as a Fun trips with friends.
That's so cool. But it's also, it makes a lot of sense because a lot of like business owners in, especially in the digital nomad, like remote space, they start this as a side hustle, as a project, as something fun with friends, and then it evolves to a business, which we're gonna talk all about in this podcast, but especially in this episode, right? Because I'm living life as a traveling entrepreneur or business owner. I'm, oh my God, it's like, it's really intense. I know all about it. You know also all about it. And where are you currently talking from?
I'm in Switzerland, weirdly, because I'm never here. But I came back for a little, yeah, a one month break at my parents, a little break from traveling. I know, you know how it is sometimes.
Yeah. No, absolutely. And I actually, I love that you share this because also what we see is that there's this super like hyped feeling and sensations around. Like you need to constantly travel, you need to do more and more and more and more. But there is also a lot of beauty in slowing down. And for some people that means going to the beach. But for a lot of people that also means to go to family, like where your roots are, or maybe to go to friends and where you spend a significant amount of time and you felt really good there. So it doesn't have to be just family roots. So how is it going? How are you feeling?
Yeah, I mean, yeah, I really needed a break, go back to my childhood room, et cetera. And at first I was like, oh, this is so resourceful, but, you know, I'm not gonna lie now a month in, I'm like, okay, like, yeah, I'm ready for the next step now. But I'm super grateful. It's nice I get to spend time with my parents, with my grandmother, who doesn't live too far, so that's nice.
But I'm ready to go out in the world again. Yeah, and that's so beautiful, right? Like, sometimes you need to sort of like, disconnect so you can reconnect later with your vision. So let's talk a bit more about your vision. So you started the offside as a project and then after this trip, what happened?
Yeah, so after the first trip, we were 12, I only knew two people, so it was friends of friends of friends. And I was like, oh, this is cool, super, I love living with friends in your late 20s, which you don't really do usually. And then I opened an Instagram page for that trip and then people started following and people started asking when is the next one? And it was like, oh, I guess I'll do some more. And then, yeah, I started doing, yeah, now I've done 25 trips.
Wow.
And four different continents and so many countries. And that's how it started. And that's where we are now. And I want to do more and more countries.
That's so cool. But 25 trips. That is so many trips. I'm okay. This is, like, the most annoying question people always ask me. So I'm going to see how you respond to this.
Don't say which one is your favorite.
Yeah.
People always say like, what's your favorite country? But for me, it's like, I cannot say that. So maybe let's reframe this question. Which of the trips that comes to your mind right now that was really memorable for whatever reason, but something that just when you look back at all the trips, this is the one that sort of like pops up and tickles your heart.
That'S so hard, honestly. But there's one, yeah, like one week in Mexico, we were such a cool group and we had gone out in the evening and I think it was Saturday or Sunday morning and we had to wake up super early to go on this boat trip. And I remember when the alarm went off, I was like, no, you know, and then we still all went at like 5, 6 a.m. and it was Amazing. We saw killer whales, like three huge killer whales under our boat, which usually we never see. And then we saw whales jumping and dolphins and, you know, and I don't know that we were also high from this experience. So I think that week was really, really special.
That sounds super cool. That also sounds a lot of reason to take your business anywhere.
Yes.
Yeah.
Right. Okay. So, so let's talk a little bit about the business side of life, because obviously, like the trips and meetings, so so many amazing people. This is one of, I feel like always the most awesome thing, specifically about the digital nomad lifestyle. But I also see people that are working from home that are freelancers. They live their freedom lifestyle, they're building this thing, and then there's this connection, community thing. But then there's also the flip side of it, right? And we will just go back and forth throughout this episode. So we don't have one negative part and one positive part. We would just go back and forth. In the past, like four and a half years since you've been building this business, what is like an obstacle that you sort of, that you felt quite early on in building your vision and with that obviously your business?
Yeah, okay. An obstacle at first is like, I was like, this is my baby, it's me hosting the chats. you know, until the 20th trip, it was always me hosting because I was like, if I'm not there, it's not gonna be the offset vibe. But, you know, there's only so many trips I can do as a, you know, just me as one person. So I was like, how do I delegate and still keep the offset vibes? How can I be sure that whoever is replacing me is gonna have the same energy, the same care for the guests, you know? And now I've slowly, slowly let go a bit more, and everyone that has replaced me has been amazing. so I should have done it earlier. Yeah. And for me, one, I'm gonna delegate way more because I don't have the, the energy of keep moving, changing countries every month and going from London to, to, you know, from Asia to Africa to Europe and, like, you know, so that's definitely something I need to step down a little.
Yeah.
Love that. Also, I I just, like, I see this in my business as well. Like, even though, like, I build funnels, like, it's so. It's so specific to the people I work with because we create very custom journeys, like journeys for marketing and sales. And I also feel like with delegating, I'm like, oh, but it's not like how I would do it. And it's actually a topic that's super active for me right now in my business because my priorities are shifting. My energy has shifted a lot since I created a steady home base and just like operate sort of from there. And I'm like, oh my God, it's like, I'm, I'm trying to find resources and books and podcasts and all that kind of stuff for like, just like delegating because it's like, it's part, yes, your baby, but also it's very strange to even tell someone how you would do it because you become very specific. And then I feel like I might be micromanaging, which I don't want to do. And then it's just like, it's, it's a bit of a big mirror for me, at least like, I'm really like seeing a different version of myself in this mirror now that I have to delegate much more.
Well, please send over all your insights and books.
So I can create like a shirt. Yeah, yeah. No, but it's also like, what I also like about is that I'm meeting more people recently that are also in this part of their lives. I mean, I'm turning 35 next month. Maybe that's it. No, I'm joking. But it's just like, yeah, I just need to delegate because I don't have that early 20-mid 20 energy anymore. I'm not saying I'm old, but I just feel like my energy has shifted.
Yeah.
So different things are necessary.
Yeah, but then, you know, I had to ask myself, I was like, ultimately, I want as many people as I can in the world to have this experience. So of course, if it's only me, there's only a limited amount of people that will experience the offsite. So I'm like, okay, if you're doing it for the people, then you need to delegate and trust, and then it can reach more people.
That's a beautiful, beautiful way of reframing that. Because then it takes also the pressure out of it and it's more from a serving and a creating mindset or lens rather than a survival lens and survival is never a good energy. Love that. Okay, so let's then go to the other side again where things are super amazing and so fulfilling. You had a lot of people on these trips, also a lot of people from different countries, different cultures, different shapes, colors, the whole shebang. so when you look at that, like the mix of people that you have and the energy, like the outside vibe that you already talked about, like that energy, can you describe that for our audience? Because I've never been on a trip, but I know your five and I know your energy a little bit. So I can imagine.
Yeah.
The offset Vibe is, I think it's somehow people that would never have met otherwise because it's really people from different. past different age, you know, as you said, colors and shapes, which, because usually you tend to stick really with like, you know, people just like you, but then we're all different and everyone is welcome and valued exactly as they are. And my, my role, and that's what I think I'm doing, and I think I'm doing quite well, is creating really safe space for everyone to show up as they are, as with their unique personality. And I love it. And, and people do really, really connect there. And maybe they're not going to be friends for life because then they go back to their own lives, but during that that week or month, everyone connected. Once we had a 19 year old with a 40 year old, and they were, like, best friends for, like, a month, you know? And, like.
Yeah.
And all I'm trying to do is just creating a safe container for people to be and explore and enjoy the new country we're in.
Yeah.
I love that. And do you. What kind of, like you said, like now in terms of age, but like what kind of people attract a trip like this? Are these like mostly like freelancers, service providers, coaches, like the bit the entrepreneurial like self-starter is it also people that have a job or what's the vibe there?
Yeah, so it's really hard, like everyone's like, what's the typical offsetter? But this really there's no typical everyone. We've had some freelancers, we've had some entrepreneurs, but it's a lot of people are in bracket normal people, you know, with a normal job that comes, they want to work, you know, maybe they live in London and they have, they're allowed to work one month outside of London. So they come to Morocco for a month. But really does, and, and we had, we have also people that come, they need a break, they need to get out of their group of friends, let's say in Switzerland, they need something else. So they come, they're on holidays, but maybe they work on their own projects. So maybe they have all these books to catch up on, you know, so they read and, you know, so there's not one typical offsetter, but yeah, we haven't had a whole lot of entrepreneurs, I'd say. It's more people with jobs.
And yeah, it's also interesting. I love this vibe of like mixing people that either work for themselves or people just need a break or people that have jobs because what I also realized, and this is something that happened when I moved to Austria, to Vienna, it was not something that was on my path, right? But I fell in love and now I'm here. And I started to mingle again a bit with people that just have a job and not just have a job, like, oh, that's so boring. But more like, I've been so sucked into the digital Nomad space, into entrepreneurs, coaches, Freelancers, like, also people with really big dreams, which I love. But it's so nice to sort of also surround yourself with people that have a job and they also have big dreams in life, but it's not also connected and it's like there's like separation of like this is work life, this is personal life, and this is sports life and you know stuff like that. And I think that this is also something for me when you describe it, it sounds really nice because yes, you still meet adventurous people because it's quite courageous and adventurous to go on a trip with some strangers. I mean, I know older people do it because that's like how they make holidays, especially when your spouse has passed away. So my dad did that. But like for young people just to have a new group of friends for a week or for a month, that's super awesome.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'd say I actually, I'm in a digital Nomad world and I'm a digital Nomad, but I'd say 95% of our guests are not digital nomads. As I said, it's more normal people that just, they are allowed to leave for a week or a month or whatever it is, and they do that. So I myself don't hang out with that many digital nomads, actually.
That's so interesting. I didn't notice about you. Also, I didn't notice about the business because maybe because of the travel vibes and all of that. Then I might just assume it's just digital nomads, but it's really good to know that that's not the case because I love digital nomads, but I've been in this space for like five years already. Also because of the podcast, I talked to so many digital nomads. I needed a digital nomad break.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That makes sense. Okay, so another question that I really want to ask you, and this is also a bit more on the business side of life. you're really passionate about your business, you're very ambitious, and you have to pour a lot of your personal energy into making this business work. Now that you're delegating, that's gonna be different, but still, that's kind of still the foundation of, of the business. Right. So how, how do you sort of manage you as a person, plus you as a professional business owner, and, like, switching back and forth to that also when you have to, I don't know, like, it's not all fun, right? Like, it's beautiful to see the dolphins, but it's not dolphins every day. Nope. Like, you also have to run operations. Maybe there's a struggle with housing. People, I don't know, get really sick because they get Bali belly or Mexican belly, whatever bellies there are. Morocco Valley. Morocco Valley. Like, you know, we all had that. And how do you go between the two? I find this personally quite difficult sometimes in my business to be the super bubbly, like, and then bomb masculine. business operations.
Yeah, yeah, it's super hard. And I still haven't quite found the exact, exact balance. I'm, I go more like, I go full in for a few months, and then I'm like, oh, my God, I need a break. And then I, like, you know, pass out in a room somewhere for, for a month. That's kind of what I'm doing to itself now, you know, like, I don't see anyone done for a month. And then. So I don't know if it's the best way to do it because I go from an extreme to an extreme, you know, and now in Morocco for four months straight. I've lived with people in the, with the offset, you know, in the offset house for four months straight every day. And I get you that the going, you have to be in your masculine, like when you're like running, you know, dealing with like house owners, Etc. Whatever, you know, and then trying to flow more and you're feminine when you're hosting. And then I host cacao ceremonies and stuff like this with my guests. So maybe that's my balance. Maybe that's how I flow. I don't know, but. Definitely, I'm tired after a big trip. And definitely it's not only dolphins, like you said, you know?
Yeah.
All the stuff you don't see on Instagram as well.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And this is also why for me, even with this podcast, like it's been actually very travel focused. But one of the things that I really love is to understand how people are actually managing their life and having a business, because a lot of the times for business owners that are so ambitious and passionate. Like your business is your life, your life is your business. And I think this is also because our parents probably didn't this way, like maybe a few here and there, but this is not something that is like, I feel like it's also with the new way of like doing things, it's very for our generation. And also to have like full in and then, okay, I need to go out, like it's very, but then still, how do you create, how do you then operate the business ongoingly? obviously you then are limited how many trips, maybe that is difficult then to scale to make more money, what happens if you're sick, can it then be like how are you going about those questions and not the answers but more like how do you manage those life business questions on a daily basis?
Again, I think that's why I came back to Switzerland now and to rework on the business model and make sure because I have had to host trips while being super sick, like in Lombok last year I had Tanga fever and the day where the strip trip was starting. So I had all the guests arriving and I had to host with 40 degrees fever. So I was just in my room and I was once per day, I was just coming out being like, is everyone okay? You know, they were having the best time. It's fine, you know, but like I still had to be on my phone and, you know, text serve teacher, text that, you know, same in Morocco. I mean, over the past four years, I've had had to host while being sick or definitely not listening to my body enough. so that's why moving forward, I will not be the one hosting anymore. If I host for sure, I have like someone with me. So that's something for sure. And then, yeah, I don't have the answers for you exactly how best balance, but, it's a struggle because you want to give so much to your business and you want to, you know, see it succeed and see it grow. At the same time, you also need to listen to yourself.
So, yeah, yeah.
Getting help, I guess, is the answer.
Yeah.
Getting help. Actually, one of the things that what helps for me a lot is that I do every week on Monday and on Friday. So Monday I set my alignment for that week and I have like four categories. So my first category is what is my alignment in my personal life. Category number one, like am I meeting friends? Like if I had like five meetups the week before, I make sure I have more me time to really like understand that going to the gym, yoga, if I feel really drained from the laptop space, like this tiny space that we have, I will add more color into it. And I don't know, it can be going to a museum, but I don't say what I need to do, I just say more color. And then it will figure, there's always an opportunity coming my way. And then the second category is like my business success. So these are business growth things. Category is smooth business, like accounting, dealing with contracts, like stuff like that. And then I have for my clients, and it's not to say that my clients are the lowest priority, but it's more like I need to have the foundation strong first and then I can serve in the best way possible.
Yeah.
So sometimes if I don't have space, yeah, if I don't have space for my clients anymore, my calendar, I'm like, okay, maybe not too much this. Like it's just kind of, I say always to my accountability partner, I'm playing Tetris on Monday morning.
I love that.
It's quite a nice exercise. And then on Friday, I do a check-in and that's when I sort of celebrate stuff. I don't beat myself up for anything that I didn't accomplish. If I procrastinate, I just write a love letter to myself while I'm procrastinating on this thing, which is mostly accounting. I hate it so much. Cannot deal with it. No, I can't.
Yeah.
And then if I cannot deal with it, I just build an AI assistant to like kick my ass and help me out.
I love that.
Yeah.
I mean, I'm definitely not as structured as you more, you know, in human design, all my arrows are right. So it's, like, feminine, everything. Just, like, all my energy is, like, just very go with the flow. So I'm not. I don't structure things in that way. But I know that for my mental health, I'll try to do sports every day, at least one day. When I get tired from my laptop, I know that I need to, you know, go on a walk, go to yoga. Like you said, I try to, if I'm Morocco or London, to go surfing a few times per week, you know, it's stuff that I know. I just. plan it in the same way as you, but I know that I need them to be able to work well.
Yeah, and I think that's also really good that we have that we show now that there's like, there's not one way, it's all about your own alignment, right? It wouldn't make sense for you probably to structure it like this because that maybe gives you more anxiety.
Yeah.
Because it goes against your alignment. So I think also this is going to like introduction of next question. there's so many different ways on how you can operate a business. And in my funnel business, I always tell people like, look, there's not one marketing strategy. Like, if you hate showing up, like what we do right now, maybe you don't want to start a podcast. Like, yeah, this person has a lot of success, but if this is not your vibe, because this is, you're just like, yeah, what the F am I actually doing? Like, maybe not. Maybe there's something else. And I think also with how you organize your business, how you organize your calendar, how you deal with, like, things. It's, you need to find your unique way, which is really challenging because we get to go beyond what we were taught, right? We get to ask ourselves what works for us and how can we implement that. What are things in your business journey that in the beginning of your business journey, you were just doing it this way because you were like, yeah, someone told me that way, or I saw it that way, or this is how I always did something like this that has significantly changed. Now that you're listening more to your alignment.
Oh, my God. Okay, so again, coming back to human design, I'm a manifestor. The entire world is based on generative manifestor. Generators is like constant energy, which I don't have. I don't have constant energy. I work with, like, you know, like peaks of energy. And at first, and every time I've tried to have a structured plan, like, if I did, like you, at the beginning of the week, like on Tuesday, I'm doing this, on Wednesday, I'm doing this at this time, la la la la. impossible for me. And I would feel so guilty for not being able to like work the same time, same day, etc. So now I way, way, way more go with the flow. Of course I have like deadlines, but I let's say the deadline is in a month or in a week. I'm like, okay, I know I need to do this by then, but when I do it is really when I feel the call to do it and I work way better of course that way and I don't feel guilty of some on a Tuesday morning, I don't want to go and work. I go and serve. I don't feel guilty because I know the energy to. To work will come later, you know?
Yeah, that's beautiful. I'm a projector, so I also don't have constant energy. The burnouts are really intense.
Yeah.
So, you know, like, we're not meant to work like. Like. Yeah.
And it's. It's funny because my partner is a. Is a manifesting generator, and he has this. I'm. I don't operate that way. Like, I need to do my yoga in the morning or go for a walk. Like, yeah, but then I have time in my calendar and I track this time because I need to know where I can optimize my projector energy.
I don't know that.
It's so funny because I'm, like, super laughing, like, oh, I love it. And you're just like.
I'm not tracking anything in life.
Oh, it's so funny. Actually, this is also something that then what I really love about is that my business makes total sense for me. Like I'm creating customer journeys for people. I'm helping them strategically design how to get leads, how to nurture them in an aligned way, and how to sell in an aligned way. This is a lot of processes, a lot of like tools and optimization and stuff like that. So this business is beyond in alignment. Your business to flow and to like, you know, like do experiences and also not have like a super tight structure probably. and if the waves are good, you're gonna serve. If the waves are shit, you're not gonna push people in the water, right?
Yeah.
So I want to talk a little bit. What does it mean for you to build a business that actually is them matching your personality or your human design or just the way you operate? Because a lot of people pursue businesses just because they're like, yeah, this person was so successful at this. I have this skill. I should do this rather than what actually feels good. Like maybe you can share a few tips for our audience or with some inspiration that it's okay to like do something that works for you best.
So for instance, I've never had a business plan. I still, I don't have a business plan, you know? And for the so many years, I felt like a fraud. I'm like, everyone else has a business plan. Why don't I have that? But no, like I go where it feels good to go. I'm like, oh, you know, this country is calling me and this type of content is attracting me right now. This is what I want to share, you know? And I try while we, I think we're always comparing ourselves. Like, I might compare my success to other people's success, but I never compare what they do, like, their kind of trips or they kind of co-living. It's like, I, I, like, I'm like, no, the offset is mine, and what they're doing is really cool as well, but it's, we don't have the same business. Like, you know, mine is really unique, and there is really unique. So I try to to see it in that way like this actually there's no competition because we all come with our unique, you know, energy and skill sets. So really reminding myself of that often.
I love that.
Yeah, for me it's really going where it feels good because if it's if I'm excited by the project, I'll be able to work on it. If I'm not excited then, you know.
So how can you how do you know? Like, how do you feel like it feels good? Like, is this like a body sensation? Like, how do you know that, oh, yeah, this feels good versus cringe or. Well, okay, I need to stay away from this. Like, how do you detect it? And if you also, maybe you can touch a little bit on how you thought yourself on how to detect these things, because we're not naturally. Sorry, not naturally. Conditionally not. taught how to tune into our feelings and how to tune into our gut feelings and our body sensations. So a lot of people are still listening to this podcast as well. Probably have a lot of conditioning.
Yeah, probably.
Like we both have.
So I don't know how it feels to other people, you know, but I've always been quite intuitive and always followed what I wanted. But I guess in my body, it feels like yeah, like.
Like a fire.
It feels more like a fire, you know, like. Like butterflies almost. But then, like, this energy that, like, yes, I need, you know, if I think of a country to, like, shall we do a. An off-site trip there? And I'm like, yes. And in the morning, I wake up and I'm like, I want to research everything about this country right now. It's Norway. It's somewhere we're going to Norway. And, you know, you. It's like you can't stop thinking about it and not.
Not doing it would feel wrong, you know?
That'S how it feels for me. So I'm not sure how it would feel for other people, but yeah, having this like fire inside of me.
I know, but that's also why I love asking this question because it's more like inspirational. Like it's not even to be like, now if you feel that too, you should do that. No, I think what's so beautiful about the alignment here is that everyone has their own alignment and by just like sharing in the open what that is and how that could look and feel like, It's more like nudges of inspiration rather than, yeah, because I have a bit the opposite. Like if I go full on feeling, for me it feels more like overwhelmed, mostly in my head. So if I get that before, I would always think, oh my God, I should do this. I should jump on this. But I actually learned that for me, the most sustainable, successful things are coming from calmness, groundedness and not this overwhelmed feeling. so it's more like an energy release that is almost like, I usually call it like a quick orgasm. It's almost hurtful. It's really a lot. And it's like in my head. Yeah, but that's the opposite. That's not a good thing for me. For me, it needs to be like mapped out a little bit. Not everything, but I need to sort of like see the trajectory and I need to feel grounded in it. That's when things work. So if I fly or jump on stuff, and I have this sort of orgasmic feeling in my head, like, then I'm like, okay, no, this is when I. And I also have it with people. If people are super like this to work with 101, that's usually for me a sign that it's gonna. That it's gonna derail into something that's uncomfortable. And I have proof of this, so I'm just like, for myself. So I'm like, no. So I need calmness.
Well, it's so good you know that for yourself, right? And who you want to work with or not.
Yeah.
Yeah. I don't ride the wave of, like, oh, now I'm excited for this. If I don't do it, if I wait, like, a week, then I'm like, no, that's not that exciting anymore. You know, I need to jump on it straight away.
Yeah.
It's so funny how the world works. But I think also, like, just to wrap it up, like, also in terms of business, like, there are so many different ways on how you can build your business, how you can build your lifestyle, how you, you know, like, this is the beauty of the digital Nomad lifestyle, I guess, like, there's a lot of choice. there are so many options. It's maybe sometimes overwhelming. There are so many people also with cool stories. Looking at your digital Nomad lifestyle, running your freedom business, working on this like freedom lifestyle thing. What is one thing that you are so extremely grateful for of what this life so far living and traveling and Working online and also working offline in these experiences that, yeah, like if it wasn't for this life, you wouldn't have had that.
Yeah, I mean, I'm so grateful for all the experiences. If I think back for, so I've been traveling full time for six years. Like the experiences, the colors, the smells, the taste, everything I've had, like it's incredible. I think, I think, you know, more than what people will have in a lifetime. And I've had that in, in six years and all the people I've met and Yeah, I'm so grateful for that. And for me, the biggest my values in life is freedom, you know? And if I can have that, I'm so grateful. So, which I've had, you know, freedom of time and freedom of movement and where I want to go and who I want to spend time with, you know? And so grateful for that. Love it.
What is your next freedom goal, your next freedom sensation?
I think it's more financial freedom. you know, money brings more freedom as well, right? So like more of that calling in more abundance that will allow me to, well, step back a bit more maybe or work on only projects like just like you hate doing accounting. Me there's some, I don't mind accounting the some other admin stuff that I don't like doing. So if I can do less of that and more of Norway planning, you know, I'd be happy with that.
Yeah. Love it. Beautiful. All right, we're almost at the end of the episode and I always ask my guests if they have one question for me.
You didn't ask me to prepare this. Yeah, no, I have a question actually because you were full digital nomads working in the tropics, now we're in Austria since what, a year already? Do you feel like you'll ever- I'm.
Actually here for one and a half years now.
One and a half, wow. Do you, you don't have the, you know, edgy feet, like you don't feel like You want to travel again? How does that feel?
The connection got stuck for a second. Can you do this again?
Since you're in Austria since a year and a half now, do you have the itchy feet of like, do you feel like you want to travel again or you're fully satisfied being there? Or do you feel like now it's time to travel again?
That's a good question. It was a bit in different waves. the first, I think, like eight months of this, I was like, every time I was still traveling quite a lot.
So.
And because I had a lot of work trips, like conferences and stuff like that scheduled. But then at the last two ones, I got anxiety. Every time I was thinking about, like, need to pack again and this and that checking it, I got anxiety. So I really needed to stop. And now I didn't travel for quite a while. Like, actually, November was the last trip I did. Now it's end of March. I didn't travel and that feels really good. And my first nomad related trip is going to be in May and I'm excited about that but I still feel a little bit this anxiety. I think I needed a proper break. That's okay. I also think that what was a bit confusing for me was that I moved to Austria and Austria is a super beautiful country. People are a bit more connected to their roots here, like very family oriented. So it was really hard for me to find people here. And what I noticed is once I stopped traveling and just focusing on building my life here, that's when I finally found connections. So I think that because I was still sort of with one feet in the nomad space and sort of here, I was not really living a fulfilled life in Austria because I just had such a hard time connecting with people. But now that I took a pause from the travel and or a break and now I have friends here, I go to a super nice coworking space where I work and there's other people also nomads, there's also a lot of people from outside, they come there. So that's also super cool. Now I feel like, okay, wait, I have a life in Vienna. Like, my birthday is coming up, right? Last year I had zero friends here, so I would not even celebrate my birthday because I don't want to invite. Now I have actually friends to invite.
So I'm like, okay, I hope you do something nice. Well, you had your boyfriend hopefully last year. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So that's a bit the thing. So I don't miss it. What I love to do for the next few years is to continue recording this podcast because I love it. I want to be part of the Nomad space, but I want to be part of it in my own terms. And there's a few things about being in this Nomad space for five years that don't attract me anymore. And I need to do my realignment in terms of the industry. So I don't miss it. I'm happy where I am right now. I miss beautiful connections, but then there's people like you who have amazing businesses. So I can just, you know, join a trip and hang out with people that are, yeah, that I don't know who they are because it attracts so many different people and that that's done the beauty of it. So I'm very grateful for you and your business because this is necessary. Like, yeah. And I know that there's a lot of Nomads also that were on my podcast. They don't want a full-time travel anymore. They're like, yeah, just give me a base, and then I will just hop in and out.
So, yeah, that's what I'm aiming as well for me.
Beautiful. All right, just before we go, where can people find everything about the trips, about your work? Just share what the links are. We will put it in the show notes as well, guys. But just so if you're like, oh, my God, I want a book trip. Then you know right away where to go.
