David Price says follow up on every commitment, even casual ones. Send a quick email after a meeting saying you enjoyed it and look forward to working together. Consistent follow-up signals reliability and protects your reputation.

David Price here, the short guy who helps you walk tall. This is confidence tip number 109. Follow up. If you make a commitment to someone and say, I'll get back to you, make sure you do. And even if you don't make a commitment to follow up, or there's no need for you to make a commitment to follow up, follow up anyway. It could be a really quick email that says, great to see you this morning. Looking forward to working with you, or looking forward to the project that we're going to work on together. Just a short email, anything. A follow-up does lots of positive things for your reputation in the mind of others. The reverse is also true. If you don't follow up, you get a bit of a reputation, and it's not a good one. Follow up.
