This is Confidence Tip number 113. Step into the gap. Picture this. You're walking into a networking function or a social function or just a work gathering, and there's people in small groups all around the room. Look for a gap. That gap is your invitation. Move over respectfully and politely and fill the gap. They'll invite you in, they'll move about a little, and someone will say to you, hello, and you can start speaking. Confident people look for the gap and fill it.
