Confidence tip number 76. I'm David Price, the short guy who helps you walk tall. Set the process goal, not the outcome goal. Now, I know that sounds a bit strange, so let me explain it to you. If your goal is to speak for 2 minutes, you can control that. But if your goal is to impress the audience, you can't necessarily control that. Focus on the process. I'm going to speak for 2 minutes. If I achieve that, then I've achieved my goal. What the audience does with what you said in that 2 minutes is beyond your control. Now, build your confidence by setting process goals, not outcome goals.
