A short YouTube how-to by David Vogel (creator/owner of Remote Video Testimonials) filmed at Croton Gorge Park. Part of a 30-day video challenge (this is day 10), the clip praises the Apple iPhone 13 Pro and presents three practical smartphone shooting tips: 1) clean the lens, 2) position the light source behind you or use diffuse/front lighting for selfies, and 3) look at the lens (not the screen) when taking selfies. The video closes with a call-to-action to follow the creator and ask questions about smartphone shooting and remote video services.

This is a video clip I shot.
This week at Croton Gorge park on my way back from a video testimonial shoot. I Love my Apple iPhone 13 Pro. It is all I need to take great photos and videos at a moment's notice.
Inspired by the beautiful morning here in New York, I thought I would share my three top smartphone tips to help.
You take better pictures and videos.
My name is David Vogel.
I'm the owner of Remote Video Testimonials.
And besides creating testimonial videos and profile videos for businesses, I provide people with one on one training to help them.
Shoot better photos and videos with their smartphones. Today is day 10 of my 30 day video challenge.
For the entire month of April, I'll be creating a video a day with the hopes of inspiring you in your.
Life both personally and professionally.
Now, if you missed any of my prior videos, you can find them on.
LinkedIn, Facebook, Facebook or YouTube. Tip number one clean the lens.
This is by far the most overlooked and important thing you can do if.
You have a still camera or camcorder.
I'm pretty sure it came with one of these a lens cap to protect.
The lens from dirt and oils.
Well, our smartphones, they don't come with one, and you'd be surprised at how.
Dirty the lenses get.
And let's not forget that the lens on a smartphone is a fraction of.
The size of that on a still camera.
That's that means even the smallest imperfection.
Will have a huge impact.
Tip number two make sure your light.
Source is behind you. Lighting is so critical.
Whenever possible, you want to have your.
Light source behind you.
So if you're shooting outside, make sure.
The sun is at your back. It will give you the most vibrant images with the richest colors.
Now, if you're taking selfies or you're shooting videos of yourself, another way to think about it is to have your light source like your ring light in front of you. Now, if you don't want harsh shadows when shooting outside, shoot when the sun is behind a cloud or make sure.
You'Re not standing in direct sunlight.
As much as overcast days aren't the prettiest, they do provide the most diffuse lighting.
Tip number three look at the lens.
This is something people struggle with all the time, especially when taking a selfie, picture or video. We love looking at the image of.
Ourselves on the screen instead of looking at the lens.
I know it's hard, but it makes.
All the difference in the world.
I hope you found this information helpful. Thanks for watching in the comments. Let me know what smartphone shooting questions you have, and if you'd like to learn more about remote video and you need help with your business, just reach out. And lastly, follow me and be sure.
