Accountability is defined in the dictionary as a willingness to accept responsibility. For me, I see it as being your word. My name is David Vogel, I'm the owner of Remote Video Testimonials and Today is day five of my 30 day video challenge. For the entire month of April, I'm going to be creating a video a day with the hopes of inspiring you in your life, personally and professionally. Today I want to talk about accountability and how you can use it to excel in your Life. Now, this 30 day video challenge is a test of my own accountability. Now, I'm naturally an introvert and the idea of being in front of the camera is something that I find difficult. I took on this challenge to get more comfortable in front of the camera and I have to tell you, it isn't easy. It's already the middle of the afternoon and now I'm making today's video. The one thing I have learned about accountability is if you're only being accountable to yourself, you're probably not going to be successful, especially if it's something hard. Now it is amazing that as soon as you are accountable to someone else, you get it done. So who makes a good accountability partner? Really, anyone you know and trust can be an accountability partner. It could be a friend, a spouse, a sibling. If it's business related, it could be a business partner or a co worker. Four years ago I felt I wasn't playing life at a high enough level. I found myself constantly coming up with excuses for why I wasn't getting things done. Thankfully, I met Chris Salem, a business coach, at a networking event who introduced me to his accountability group called Success Circles. As Joseph Varghese, the founder, explains, Success Success Circles was created to help entrepreneurs win the game of life. Work and play. Monday to Friday I have an accountability call with Another member for 30 minutes for the sole purpose of being our Word on a daily basis. For years I wanted to lose weight and it wasn't until this program that I was able to lose 20 pounds. Thanks to this work, I'm able to set daily goals and achieve them with consistency. Now, if you're making excuses about something in your life, ask someone to be your accountability partner. And if you want to learn more about Success Circles, reach out to me or go to successcircles.com I hope you found this helpful. Thanks for watching in the comments. Let me know what you do to stay accountable. Please follow me and be sure to like and share this post and I'll see you.
