Be Sure To Share Your Videos Natively

David Vogel explains why you should upload videos directly to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn instead of posting YouTube links. Platforms deprioritize posts that send users away, so native uploads reach more people and play right in your feed.

Happy Easter everyone. I hope you're enjoying time with your family. I'm sorry to interrupt your holiday. I actually have a tip today that will help you with sharing videos from today's Easter egg hunt and your time with family. My name is David Vogel. I'm the owner of Remote Video Testimonials. We not only create video content for businesses using smartphones, but we help people learn how to shoot better smartphone videos. Today is day 17 of my 30 day video challenge. For the entire month of April, I am creating a video of a day with the hopes of inspiring you in your life, both personally and professionally. So today, when you're uploading your Easter videos for your friends to see, you want to upload it natively to each social media platform. So for example, if you like sharing videos on Facebook, don't first upload the video to YouTube and then share the YouTube link on Facebook. The reason why this isn't a good idea is that Facebook will reduce the number of friends that will be shown your post in their newsfeed. And the reason for that is that they don't want people to find your post and click on a link to your video that is going to take them off of Facebook and over to YouTube. They want eyeballs on their platform as long as possible so that they can show guess what? More ads and generate more money. So this is the same case on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. The good news is that when you upload video natively it will be show up as playing in their news feed instead of just an image or a link. Now it's a little bit more work on your part because you now have to upload the video to each social media platform. But the good news for you is more people will enjoy get to enjoy your videos. Okay, I'm going to keep it short today because it is a holiday and you probably aren't even going to see this video today. I hope you found the video helpful. Please share your Easter videos in the comments below and I will see you tomorrow.
