I'm Joe Scotti. I work as a lumber trader for Mocombie River Forest Products. We're a family owned lumber wholesaler based out of Boise, Idaho. We supply our customers with framing lumber across most fir dimensions and western species. We work with about 35 different sawmills and sell mill direct to you guys. As far as predictability, we work really hard as a team to make sure that we're all aligned with where the market's headed. We provide market updates bi weekly as well as price analysis to make sure that you're up to date with everything that's changing. I use technology every day as a lumber trader, whether I'm calling guys on the phone, shooting them texts or emails, making sure that they're up to date and everything that's moving. We also use the Estar lumber building material software that helps us keep up to date with our guys and move stuff as quick as possible. Getting hours back in the day means I could spend more time talking with mills or talking with them and making sure that they are getting exactly what they need. That's not even to mention being part of a family owned company. It's pretty great walking into the office and getting to chat with my brother and family members about what's the next steps and where the market's headed.
