What was holding me back for 15 years was the fact that I was not confident in starting a business on my own. I started to travel and start to think, why am I doing all this working full time at a job I really don't like? And I really like construction and I like to maybe serve where the need is great or help out where there is a need anywhere in the world. And I thought, how am I going to support myself? So this opportunity came up to do estimating for a company. So I said, okay. And then shortly after that I decided, well, why don't I just try to open my own business doing that? Can I do it? Do I have the resources? I don't want to waste money. How was I going to be able to do this in a new area that I'm living in? I needed help to get this idea developed to work towards something. So I get into the program and one of the big things about the program is that they want you to have a lot of conversations. Now I'm a very social, social person, but when it comes to self promoting myself, I'm not very good at that. Now I find that every time I talk to someone, I'm always talking about some kind of entrepreneurship or some kind of thought I have for another business I'd like to start. I didn't have one project until December, until I started having these conversations till December 2020. Once I start getting a client, I start getting one right project right after the other. Previously I needed a little bit more experience and that's where the program helped a lot. Helped me to really learn to fall and get back up again.
