How Many Video Testimonials Do I Need?

Okay. I want you to choose a number between one and ten. Got it? Okay. I want you to focus on that number. 4, 7, 9. Okay, I'm completely guessing. And that's exactly what businesses are doing when they try to decide on the right number of video testimonials for their business. Today I'm going to share with you four factors that come into play when deciding on how many video testimonials you need. My name is David Vogel and I've created hundreds of videos for businesses to help drive sales. Today is day 25 of my 30 day video challenge. So what is the right number of video testimonials for your business? Well, there's actually four factors. The first is you want to look at the number of products and services you offer. So for instance, if you are a web development agency, and let's say you design websites, you do SEO, and you do pay per click, if you offer those three different services, you're going to want to have a video testimonial from a client that used each one of those services. Here's the thing. Video testimonials work the best if the person and the story being shared in the video mirrors the person watching the video. So if someone is looking for a web developer to build a website, ideally they want to hear from someone who had an experience with them building a website for them. Now, the other factor that you want to take into consideration is verticals. Now, maybe besides you offering these different services, you might offer your service in different verticals. Maybe you do websites, for example, for doctors or for attorneys or for financial advisors. So if you can also cover a variety of those different industries, that would also increase your chances of having the right number of video testimonials to cover those different variations. Next, you want to consider gender. Don't have all your video testimonials be only men. If some of your clients that buy your products and service are women, you want to make sure that they're represented appropriately as well. And you also want to look at age. If you have clients of different age groups, you're going to also want to think about that. So I'm not suggesting that you create video testimonials for every product, for every vertical, for that product, for every gender and every age group. But my point is that when you're thinking about video testimonials for your business, the more variety you have across all those different factors, the better chance you're gonna have a video testimonial that's gonna identify with a prospect. So typically, I'LL have clients either buy one video testimonial, which obviously is not gonna cover a lot. I had clients Purchase anywhere from 10 to 20 video testimonials to start. My typical recommendation is to start with three to five because you'll have enough variety there and you might have a situation where one of the video testimonials isn't very strong. So this way you're covered. Now, cost is a big factor when it comes to investing in video testimonials, and that might be limiting how many you invest in. But here's the thing to keep in mind with video testimonials is I've seen time and time again within days, if not weeks of someone investing in a video testimonial. It pays for itself because it helps close a sale that wouldn't have happened. So I hope you found this helpful. Be sure to like and share this video and tell me how many video testimonies you have in your business and I'll see you tomorrow.
