What Do You Need To Create and Share Video?

David Vogel (owner of Remote Video Testimonials) presents a short YouTube vlog encouraging businesses and individuals to stop procrastinating and start making videos. He emphasizes that modern tools—a smartphone for recording, a computer for editing, and free hosting on YouTube and social platforms—make video creation and sharing easy, and issues a challenge to viewers to shoot a 10-second clip and upload it.

Do you know what this is? It's a round to it. Get it a round to it. That is what most businesses are saying about using video in their business. I'll get around to creating videos one of these days. So what's holding you back? My name is David Vogel. I'm the owner of Remote Video Testimonials and using a 100% remote video production service, we capture video testimonials from your customers and your personal profile videos to build trust and generate more sales. Today it's Good Friday and day 15 of my 30 day video challenge. I've made it to the halfway point for the entire month of April. I'm creating a video a day with the hopes of inspiring you in your life both personally and professionally. It's never been easier to create and share videos. So the first thing that you're going to need is a video camera. Do you need to go to Best Buy and buy a camcorder? I haven't used this in 20 years. All you need is your smartphone. And once you've shot your video and you want to edit it, it isn't like the old days where you'd have to splice film together. All you need is a computer and you have one of those, right? And most likely it already has video editing software installed on it. Now you want to share it with people, but how do you get it to them? Well, no longer do we have dial up modems. We have fiber optics and high speed Internet so we can upload a 50 megabyte video file and in seconds. But where do you put it for people to see it? Let's see, do you have a Gmail account? Well, did you know that Google owns YouTube and with literally one click you can create a free YouTube account. And we all love our social media, right? Did you know you could upload video to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok for free? So your friends could easily see it and can leave messages telling you how awesome your video is. And what about your company website? Did you know you could embed your video there as well? You know what, I'm not telling you anything you didn't already know. So let me ask you again, what's holding you back? I have a challenge for you today. Take out your smartphone and shoot a 10 second video. Shoot anything you want. Shoot a video clip of your dog, it really doesn't matter. Then upload it to YouTube and share it on Facebook. Don't worry, you can delete it immediately afterwards if you want. I just want you to see how easy it is to shoot a video and share it online. I hope you found today's video helpful. If you're feeling bold, share your video in the comments below. Don't forget to like and share this video. And if you have any questions about using video in your business, just message me here. Thanks again for watching and I'll see you tomorrow.
