Inspired. HR is a human resources consulting and outsourcing firm. We founded it in 2007 because we really believe that there's a better way to do work, to make both people happy and to make employers more productive. Early in my career, I worked in hospitality, and that hospitality gene has stayed with me. And so being respectful to people, responding to them on time, making sure that we're always focused on service first is number one. And to me, that means hiring the best people who can figure things out, who are resourceful, who actually deliver and hold themselves accountable. And that way I can serve more as a mentor and a guide, as opposed to a traditional manager. Being a business leader means many things. I mean, first of all, it's driving your own business. But more importantly, once you become a leader, it's really important to look and develop the next generation of leaders and to give back to society where they need us the most. I was thrilled to see so many leaders who are female this year being acknowledged. And this is so important because when we look at our children and the next generation coming up, you need to be able to see what you want to become. If you don't see female CEOs when you're a little girl, you don't even think that that's something that's possible for you. I think Calgary is the best place in the world to do business. And I sit on a lot of global boards and work globally. But Calgary, we've got a unique entrepreneurial spirit. People are willing to work hard, they don't have egos, and most importantly, they're authentic, which I really, really.
