Introducing Deep Insight's New Platform

Gerhard Gschwandtner and Jeff Campbell introduce Deep Insight, an AI platform for B2B sales leaders built from 2.5 million data points across decades of Selling Power content. The paid tier costs $199 a year and includes an AI assistant that summarizes sessions and magazine articles with citations. An Ethical AI Certification program rates vendors like Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics.

We've had so many questions throughout our Sales 3.0 conferences where people say, I've heard a great session, I followed a great speaker. How can I get more insight, how can I get this presentation and how can I learn more after the event? And that's why we have created Deep Inside. And Jim, you've been a reader of Selling Power magazine for four decades.
Yeah.
Your first impression, when, when he got the magazine.
When I got the magazine. You mean back when it was a tabloid?
Yes.
A great big fold out thing like a newspaper.
You.
Yeah, I loved it because it was, it was so portable and easy to use because unlike a book, I didn't have to treat it in a book kind of a way. I could just peruse it easily. That's a physical thing. Content wise, you had so many different contributors, you virtually connected with everybody who was in the sales training world worldwide and brought them together in short little articles. So I was able to go through there and learn about sales preparation, about customer satisfaction, about confirming the sale, about presentation skills. You know, it was great plus, filled with advertisements. As it evolved and became a formal magazine and then evolved into a digital publication, there was more and more from the sponsors and the advertisers that showed me different models and then those same people were appearing in the articles and sharing their wisdom without me having to buy anything extra. So it's been sort of a community builder and an awareness expander, both.
Well, thank you. The, the spirit behind the big idea behind Selling Power was for me to bring the best minds into a easy, easily accessible format which was print at the time. And the goal was to help the reader read something in the morning that they can apply the same day or in the afternoon to close a sale.
Yeah, it was very practical. It is very practical. As opposed to some magazines that tend to be more theoretical and in.
My role models were actually women's magazines, not men's magazines. Women's magazines are all about how to.
Yeah. How to fold a towel, how to decorate a room. Yep.
Right, right, right. How to close a sale, how to read a buyer, how to read body language, how to use technology, how to use better processes. And I think that the, the, the, the basic tool was to do interviews that are educational. So when I sat down with Mark Benioff, I wanted to know everything about SAS software and also I wanted to learn about his background as a salesman at Oracle at the time.
And by the way, that's something else that's praiseworthy is you've been able to access some of the most significant personalities on earth and to interview them about selling and persuasion.
Yeah, and we had Dr. Norman Vincent Peale or we had Donald Trump. You know, we had Donald Trump on the COVID we had Ronald Reagan on the COVID we had Mary Kay on the COVID and zig Ziglar and Dr. Dennis Waitley and Colin Powell. There were so many fascinating experiences for me because I love to learn. But now we are in the digital age. Now we want to be immediately useful and convey deep insight and that's why we have Jeff Campbell in the house. And he is going to show us how deep insight can work for you to answer practically any question that a sales manager has or a sales leader where you get answers about training, about people, about process, about technology.
Jeff, hey. Jeff.
Hey. Yeah, that's one of the things that I've learned from Gerhard and, and I've always been curious too. So that's one of the things that I feel so fortunate to have been working for Selling Power for so long is just that sense of curiosity that we both share and you know, trading books and ideas with each other as far as what we're going to read. And, and I wish I, I don't have within arm's length but we actually have some of the tabloids here in the office all the way up through when we had VHS cassettes or VHS tapes for non verbal selling. The selling power live with audio cassettes and then DVDs. But we're in the digital age now and what we wanted to do was try to bring it all together. And it's a, it's in, it's a process. So we're continually building all of these decades of research insights from all of these experts around the world and B2B sales. And we're doing it in a pace, deliberate mode. We're up to 2.5 million data points that's building in the AI and it's a closed system. We're not putting anything else in. And this is not to change or alter. This is to give better access to, to salespeople and sales leaders to be able to easily access. Everything's cited. But we also wanted to give, you know, the AI can give you direct access to certain bits and pieces, but a lot of people like long form. So we wanted to also give access to. Because one of the other questions we get is where can we get the, the on demand sessions. The other thing that we wanted to do was create a community and of course there's LinkedIn. But we wanted to create a specific B2B community where people join in the discussions, start discussions on their own, learn from each other, learn from their peers. And so we have built the Deep Insight program on two different levels. We have free access for everybody to sign up. You can sign up today. We've already had people signing up this week and this is looking at the home page and what you're going to get immediately when you sign up is access to discussion boards where you can start your own discussions, weigh in on others discussions. We also have long form where you can access reports that we curate from, you know, McKenzie Deloitte. Here's an AI agents trend agent agent trend from Google. So we're picking up all the latest reports and research where you don't need the go seek it out. You can come here and just get a snippet and then download the entire report, for example.
Nice.
That's all available for free. We also are building our B2B AI Sales Solutions Directory. So if you're looking for different again this is growing all the time. If you are looking for a solution for specific say sales coaching, training, role play, you would just click on that. We have Virtual Instinct presented today. You can go in, get access directly to their website. You can also see some videos that we have. This is also constantly being updated. We also list a number of events of course that they're all listed on our sales conference site. But we also have webinars and masterclasses and you can connect with other members in the members forum. So that's the basic free version and just wanted to, to get your thoughts on that, Jim.
Well, first off, I want to, I want in. I was looking for a place where I could click live and, and put in my email.
So drop it in the chat and
then you can, yeah, do that because I'm sure there are others like me who are just saying, hey, let's make it happen. Captain, years ago into Brad Lee's office. Brad Lee is the guy ended up or heads up. Lightspeed VT. Lightspeed VT. Thank you very much. You're welcome. Yeah, I had a brain gap and I was in his office and he said let me see the homepage of your website. What is your website? And I said it's CathCart.com and, and he clicked on it and put it up on the screen on in front of us. And he said where's my Buy now button? I said what? He said I'm ready to buy. I don't want to read all this stuff. Let me, let me buy. Where's my Buy now button? I went, oops, I didn't have one. So I'm there, I'm ready for, for buy now on the deep insight because I can see the value of this. I mean it's unquestionable. So by all means.
And again this is just, yeah, this is just the infancy. We're, we're, we're building on this daily and we do encourage, in order, in order to sign up all you need is your name and email. But we do encourage you to go ahead and fill out your entire profile because that really aids in networking and the peer to peer connections. The other thing that's also free is, and we're constantly updating this because as we've just seen with Anthropic, our ethical directory, if you know we have a certification process. So for instance on the CRM front, Salesforce, Freshworks, Microsoft Dynamics have all earned our sales 3.0 AIE AI ethical certified badges. And then we have others that maybe haven't. And what you're going to get with those is you're going to be able to see what questions you're going to need to ask of these companies if you're going to use them, you know, if, if ethics is one of your driving factors in your decision making process. And so we're continually updating these. But you know, we see Claude has been certified now, but now that they've dropped their safety pledge in Anthropic may have to reevaluate that. So this is a, this is again an area that is in constant flux and we're on it. So we're continually doing research independently.
I like that.
And just looking at it objectively and, and I will say that a lot of these companies are very cooperative when we send them information or information request like on data cards or model cards for their AI. As long as that, you know, in a couple instances they've, they've required us to sign NDAs but they've been forthright and forthcoming about giving, providing us that information so that we can see that they actually are doing independent bias audits. So that, that's a good sign in some of these companies. Yeah, that's, that's all the free level. I'm sorry Jim, go ahead.
I was just going to say that the Ethical AI Ethical Certified is such a great idea. I'm collaborating right now with a man named Shekhar Natarajan who is the creator of Orchestro AI which is a logistics or has been a logistics platform and he's developed what I call Angelic Intelligence. It's creating AI from the start with a sensitivity to the human spirit and the human soul.
Right.
Creating AI that's built to care and cannot avoid caring. And it's got within it because of his brilliant mind. He's like an Elon Musk 27 digital angels. And the angels collaborate with each other and talk about what's the right thing to do. And it always defaults to the human element because there's always a point beyond which AI should not be making that decision. And so I love what you're doing with that and I think you're on a very, very important path.
Yeah. And, and it may be naive, but I truly believe, and I know Gerard does too, that the market, I, I know that some feel that, well, it is what it is and you can't really do anything about what certain companies are doing. But the market speaks. And B2B Sales is a, is an enormous user of AI solutions.
Yeah.
And if they tend towards, if the dollars gravitate towards companies that are, that are transparent and more open and, and show their, their ethical bona fides, then the other companies will follow soon. It will change. It will, you know, bring on positive change. So that's that. Now we do have a paid version. It's only $199 per year. And then that's where once that, once you subscribe for that, these items here ask deep insight sales 3o conference session selling Power magazine issues and the Deep Insight reported and research will automatically pop into view. So let's say the Selling Power magazine, for example, is now digital. So if we click on there now, you have a new way to be able to access the magazine. You can come in and either by year or just scroll through the issues. There's the Mark Benioff cover story from May June. You can click on that and you can either download the PDF version if you want to print it out and read it or want to share it, or you can actually click on the Page Turn Online Edition and just use the credentials and then that brings you in to the Page Turn Online Edition. But that also has an AI assistant. So if you were in this issue, for example, and you didn't have time to read the entire cover story, you could ask for some five key takeaways.
Does that have audio capacity where, like if someone's running, they can listen to it,
they can't listen to the whole issue. Now we don't have audio capacity on, on the entire magazine. If you wanted to ask, like the AI tool, for example, five key takeaways from Mark Benioff's cover story. That can. That would be audio.
Good.
So that's the selling power magazine. And then here we go. This is the big one. The conference sessions we usually have. Within a week and a half, we'll have all the sessions from this week up.
But here, quick bit of trivia.
Yeah.
Alex Kishan, who you're looking at right there. EI is humanity's best chance. Alex just texted me not three minutes ago during this conversation.
Yeah. And again, this is by category, so if you want to go to just Sales Transformation Summit sessions or Revenue acceleration, Sales training enablement, and what you're going to get, for each session that you click on, you're going to get the description of the session, contact links to the specific participants, and then the entire session recording.
Cool.
And I'm not sure of the audio, so I'm not going to click on here. But you, you basically any, any sales trio conference session from 2025 forward, you get full access to every session. And if there's a slide deck available, you would also receive the slide deck. And I'm just trying to. I believe how it's had one. You go. Not on this one, but anytime there's a slide deck available, you would have.
Well, the one I'm interested in is Ask Deep Insight AI Master Assistant. Can you demo that?
So we're going to go over here and what it brings up is the masterclass assistant. Well, welcome. How can I help you today? So, in this case, I had asked previously, what can you tell me about Virtual Instinct demo day? He presented today, but he also did our demo day. And what you're going to get is a readout of all the top takeaways from his sessions. And then what you'll also get is it's all cited. So if you want to go to the exact source of where this information is coming from, it's all there.
Nice.
This morning I ask, what does Jim Cathcart have to say about mentoring? Because I know with a. I think last year you had done. Wow, an article about mentoring.
I did, yeah.
So that we published. So this goes through all of your ideas about mentoring. And again, if you want to see where the source comes from, you can click through. And then it. You. You can go and read the entire Jim Cathcart blog post.
Remarkable. What a great resource.
It's a gold mine.
Yeah, it is. And. And it doesn't cost the price of gold, which is appreciating as we speak.
So this is what we have, the 2.5 million data points that we're adding to constantly in and what we didn't want to. You know, this is designed to make it easier to get to information but also fully cited back to the. The source. So you can either track down the exact source to verify it or if you, you know, it acts as. Here's the synopsis. Let's go back and look at the.
So what's the. What's the annual subscription price?
190. $199.
Wow. So it's less than 20 bucks a month.
Yes. And then that, that is what. Once you're here, what you. Would you. When someone first registers, they won't see these areas. They'll just see what's included in Deep Insight.
Yeah.
And then once you go there, they can go through and it gives up. They can watch a video on what it offers. It gives. We have samples of all the items that they're going to receive and then they could go ahead and subscribe and then that brings them through to a checkout page. And then once you go through the checkout page, then when you come back to your Deep Insight page that you've set up, then these will be available.
Outstanding.
Less than $17 a month.
Yep.
So can you, can you do a query out of the blue here to show the. The versatility and. Okay, just put in a search term.
Oh, that's the other thing I want to show in a minute too.
Okay.
Yeah, go ahead and give me this.
How to find the best AI tool.
I. This is board design for
what? What does Deloitte say about AI tools?
There you go.
I don't know if we have that in there, but we'll see. This is specifically for B2B, but we'll see. If it. If it doesn't have anything.
There you go. Yeah. That was today's opening presentation.
Y. Wow. Wow.
Yeah. Very thorough. Completely up to the moment.
And then again it's all sourced and
then you can go and search the
sources and I don't know, it'll probably mess up the speakers, but if you wanted to do a voice instead of the text, you would just click on the microphone button.
Got it. Outstanding.
And then that's the other thing too. One of the reasons why we really built. We chose this platform is because of the. The navigation is very user friendly, but you could also, you know, just type in the search bar what you're looking for and it'll bring up
beauty.
Everything that has to sell.
There goes all these things that are in here. That's. That's about maybe a thousand times more than what we used to offer. When we would call on a company and say, hey, put us on your advisory team and make us your sales training resource. You know, we'd go in and try and sell a course and then the consulting that went along with the course. But what we were offering, though it cost many, many times more than $199 for a year, was so much less than this. But the danger I see in this is that the naive people, the people that have not had a lot of time in grade in their sales leadership position, they say, I don't need anything. I don't need to. To acquire wisdom myself. I've got this AI resource and I'll just turn to it anytime I need an answer. Problem with that is they don't know what questions to ask or how to ask them in the right way to get the real best answer. And that's why using something like this is more important than having something like this and, you know, like saying, oh, I can find that on YouTube. Yeah, but do you know what to look for? Well, not yet, but my AI assistant will tell me what to look for. No, no, no, no, no, no. We've got to have the personal wisdom too. So time, in, what they call it shots on goal time in grade, you know, that's, that's where we acquire the wisdom to use all this wisdom in an intelligent and useful way.
Right. And this is in the, in the. The purpose of this is not to create some kind of synthetic intelligence. It's basically to give streamlined and very efficient access to actual human intelligence Experts from the B2B world. And, you know, that that's all that's in here. And, and it. That's the. Where we have the value add we feel is that the editorial integrity over the decades of what goes into selling Power magazine, what went into Selling Power Live, what went in what, you know, who is invited to speak at the sales real conferences ensures that the information that. And the only information that we're putting into here is, you know, highly vetted.
Yeah, Tim, I want to go back to your statement that a lot of people don't know how to ask the right question. So we had Sherry Leviton on storytelling today. Jeff, can you do me a favor and just put in the search term Sherry Leviton in the AI part, in the deep inside.
Okay, I'll go back to that. And that's the other thing too. On the top here, you'll see if you're curious, you can download a use case ebook
Cool. So type in Sherry Leviton and see what comes up.
S H A R. Yeah, you got it. T O N. Did I say Tin Tin? Is it?
I think so,
Yep. T I N.
That's amazing. See, the thing is that what we don't know, that we don't know is hurting us more than what we know and isn't true. The knowledge universe, with a tool like that becomes more accessible because you don't have to force yourself to ask the right question the first time around. But even with a little prompting where you read this about Sherry and then you get curious and say, what are the four pillars of learning framework? I've never heard of this. So it actually accelerates curiosity.
Yeah. And look at that last sentence. She emphasizes using AI as a sous chef to do the prep work, the prep, research, and structure the coaching, while humans deliver the empathy, curiosity, and storytelling that wins the deals. And she illustrated that so well in her session because as she was sharing both her own stories and the stories of her customers, I mean, she grabbed us. We. I was totally captivated and. And we were impacted by the little short stories that she was telling to illustrate the points she was teaching.
Right. But I. I think we. We had another insight when Bren was speaking, which is when she made a bold statement that IP doesn't exist anymore. That what. What Jeff is showing us here is really a protected IT IP where nobody else can change it or confabulate something. This is all human wisdom is sensified, that's not diluted, that's not bastardized by general AI.
Yeah, yeah. This. This whole day has been. And it continues to be a mind expander, and it's given me more confidence in using AI I expected to be overwhelmed by this summit. And that's true to a point. You know, there is an information overload factor factor there, but that's not the impact that I'm feeling as I go through each of these presentations. What I'm feeling is more courage. I feel more confident going forward and. And taking action and doing the things that have been recommended. So good job curating your faculty.
Yeah, well, that. That's exactly what I wanted to say that Briar de Savar, a French philosopher, said, a. A good dinner begins with the invitation of the right people.
Absolutely. Absolutely.
And we had so many amazing people today. And I. I can't thank Jeff enough for having the curiosity and the patience and the diligence to create that AI treasury that's unique to selling power, where sales leaders can go and find answers to top solutions that the company is experiencing and walk away with the insight they need to get their sales organization to the next level. And I also want to thank Amanda and Rob and carry behind the scenes that are working with Jeff to make this happen.
Yeah, I echo that with everybody as well. And I would only end with there's not a day goes by that we don't try to think of something to make it better.
Excellent.
I mean, we're always trying to make it better. So it. We take it very. The mission that we have as far as providing good information to B2B sales leaders is very personal to us. So,
yeah, we work. We work harder to make selling easier.
Yeah.
There you go.
Well said.
Thank you, Jeff.
Take care.
Thank you, Jim.
Bye.
Bye.
