Awesome. Well, thank you so much for having me. And I am really excited about this topic and what I'm really excited about. We've got 20 minutes. I could probably do it in seven, but I'm going to pace this just a little bit because it's pretty exciting. But before I I apologize for the shameless plug, but on Tuesday we launch Prompt Writing Made Easy. So please feel free to if you go to promptwritingmadeeasy.com you can get on the wait list. Very, very excited about that. And the number one question is, can I have a copy of this deck? So even before we get started, if you go to socialsaleslink.com April 2025 or you scan the QR code, you can get a copy of the deck. And the deck is going to have a prompt that I think you're going to like. But let's start with pre call planning. There is.
No better way to run a sales call than when you're prepared. And that is what pre call planning really focuses on. How do we prepare for a call so that you know, we've done our research and groundwork that we understand the prospect and with confidence and we can personalize that conversation. So the better we're prepared, the more successful we're going to be.
So what is the goal today? The goal is to create a detailed pre call planning summary that helps you prepare for every single sales call with a specific prospect so that you can start tailored and meaningful conversations.
What we're going to walk you through will highlight the prospect's professional background. It'll include their priorities and challenges, list their services offered and targeted audience, provide conversation starters, identify key industry influencers, provide a SWOT analysis, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and list discovery questions that align with your offerings. I promise all of this is going to come down to one prompt. But let's talk about the crispy framework and this is what promptwritingmadeeasy.com, what the book is really based on is how do we create.
A prompt that delivers on a consistent basis. So I'm going to first walk through the framework and and then I'm going to walk through the pre call planning process. So let's start with crispy C. Context. Context is what we want to get. What is the goal of this prompt? It could in this case we want a pre call planning report, right? And we can go into more detail around that and you'll see as we built out this one. But the context is is what am I looking to achieve? Then we want to do the Role we want, it's going to tell AI who they are. Right? So we've heard this, you know, act like Brene Brown or act like an award winning journalist or. Right. So who do we want AI to be.
Next? The inspiration. This is where you can kind of go any in every direction. This is what I want to achieve, what I want to get, what I want people to feel when they consume this. Like what it the whole kit and caboodle. And by the way, this is kind of the framework for almost any simple prompt.
Next is scope, right? This is like how long do I want it? What do I want it to include? And then prohibitions. This is what we don't want it to do. Now often when I'm using prompts, some of my prohibitions which are not in this one because if my but if my prompt is about writing content for public use, I'll have a prohibition that says don't use the word delve or foster. Don't start any paragraph with a prepositional phrase and don't use any phrase that will be flagged by an AI detector. It's not perfect but it certainly helps. And last and this is the magic is you the Y in crispy you. This is your insights, your input. You, you know it. This is how we make it authentically you.
So crispy for pre call planning. And then I will give you a moment that once I have the whole crispy up you can take a picture and let me just share one of my favorite things. If you take a picture and you have open AI ChatGPT or any LLM on your mobile device, if you take that picture and you upload it to your LLM and say text please. You don't really even have to say please but I do because when they take over I want them to remember that I was nice to them. Meaning the AI world kind of a joke. Okay so so so you could take a picture and it will give you the text so you don't have to retype this. You don't even have to download and copy it. You can do this and I do this with with slides all the time. So context. For the pre call planning report I need assistance preparing for an upcoming call by analyzing my prospect's LinkedIn profile and website. The goal is to develop a comprehensive pre qual planning summary that highlights key attributes of the contact's professional Persona and provides me with discovery questions that align with my sales process role.
Act as a skilled sales strategist with expertise in conducting effective pre call research and Planning tailored to enhance client interactions.
Generate insights, inspiration and you could go on and on but generate insights based on the individual's LinkedIn profile and website, focusing on their professional priorities, challenges, the solutions they offer and the clients they serve. Use this information to identify topics of interest and relevant influencers pleading. Please include their disc personality style based on their profile. Now I will say and this will do it.
If it's pretty good the disc profile, it's kind of if you guys know Crystal knows it will give you a very good disc profile but it is based on the writing of that profile. So if your prospect hired someone to write their profile it may not be perfect but generally it's pretty darn good. So I would say don't it's not the disc profile really is best when you know the other person has taken the assessment. In this case they haven't taken assessment but for me I love taking flight which is a disc profile with birds. If anyone's ever interested, let me know. I know that I am a high I which is a parrot and I know how to work with eagles which are D, doves which are S and owls which are C. This is how I think when you are out in the world. If you know your disc style and you understand D I S C this will help you in your pre call planning. If you don't know disc might be worth checking out but I love this and then I wanted to align my services based on my website or my content. Next is scope. Concentrate on creating a pre call planning summary detailed professional priorities challenges. I know I have it again but I want you know this is the scope of what I want it to look like, not just the inspiration potential conversation starters and a SWOT analysis and discovery that lead back to my solution. And by the way just side note if you have brackets in a prompt that will prompt the AI to ask you to fill in those brackets so it will get them to ask you a question. So those brackets will prompt AI to ask you to fill in those blanks to ask you those questions. Which is very helpful when you are creating a prompt where you're going to have a different fill in the blank every time. Potentially prohibitions avoid irrelevant personal details that do not pertain to professional interests as well as generic content that does not offer specific insights tied to the LinkedIn profile and you Oops. There we go. You is our Ask SSL bonus. Ask me all the questions you need to complete this task one at a time. Okay, this will work in any LLM I'm going to do this in Ask SSL. This is part of our membership. That's 197amonth with tool and coaching and training and all that fun stuff. But what I'm showing you you could do in chat, GPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, you name it, it's the prompt. It will work everywhere. Okay, so but I'm gonna go into Ask SSL and I'm gonna run it here. So the first thing I'm going to do. Oops. This was all logged in and ready to go. Gearhart, here we go. And now here we go. All right, so we are going to start a chat and I'm going to go pull up that template. So that template is the, the one that you just saw. You'll see it. I'm just adding it in. It added in that template and now it says can you please provide me with the LinkedIn profile link of the prospect you'd like to analyze that this prompt. Oops. This prompt is what got pasted in there and now it's following these instructions. So we're going to do a little pre call planning on Gearhart. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to. Now you can click and copy Gerhard's LinkedIn profile from here. Something I have noticed when you do that though is if there are collapsed sections, it doesn't always grab everything. So I like to save the PDF. It's just a simple more.
And save as PDF. You can do this on any profile whether you're connected or not. You will see here. That's what I got. Now I can upload the PDF should I choose to, or I could simply select all and copy, which I'm just going to do for now. But you. I could add a file. I could upload the PDF here just like you can in any LLM. And I'm pasting and then it's going to ask me for my information.
Now you can complete this by adding that information in updating that. Oh, it's. It's going to ask me in a minute. First it's giving me. Here's the professional overview, my first pre call planning summary without my information. Here's the overview. Professional priorities, empowering sales leaders, Operational efficiency, Mindset development. I think that's pretty spot on. Challenges keeping up pace with technology, evolving sales strategies. In this case I don't have my prohibition of fostering but fostering buyer relationships. Here are the solutions that he offers. Selling power Magazine conferences like today. Mindset training clients that he serves. Potential conversation Starters how do you find trends in sales technology influencing your strategies at selling power? Pretty darn good. This is all from that prompt and Gerhard's profile. Influencers and topics of interest. I can look through this competition. Interesting. Harvard Business Review Gerhardt that's your competition. No competition. No one can hold a candle to you. Disc style high D and C. I would have put you more as an I than a D but I don't work for you so I'm not sure but definitely a C. You are very detail oriented. Swat. Here are your strengths, your weaknesses, opportunities, threats and some discovery questions. Latest challenges. Okay now it says would you like to refine any details So I can actually go in and add my.
My LinkedIn profile which I'm going to put in here.
Last created. I'm going to add in my profile and my custom which you can this you could add your LinkedIn profile and I've built in some of my custom questions and it's going to update it and directly align did align this with mine because this it knows me right now but it probably updated some of. Yeah. So value based sales strategy something I talk about all the time. Right. Trust building. Those are all the words that I added into these discovery questions. So now it's completely aligned and complementary to the focus for leveraging technology for enhancing sales sales. So I'm looking at our time and I know I said I could do it in seven minutes it's more I think closer to nine. But if I go through this you know I'm going to open this up for some Q and A. But you can see very basically I'm going to come back to this if you want to take a screenshot and leverage this And I know I went very, very micro.
Focused and I still have five minutes left that I'm going to actually stop sharing actually I'll come back here if that's okay. And here we're going to go back and say here is a link to if you want to scan that or go to social sales link.com April 2025 you can get a copy of the deck and if you are at all interested in prompt writing made easy. I think there's over a hundred crispy prompts where you can just take a picture and use them. So I know I'm a little bit. I have four minutes here Gerhard but I I'm happy to take some questions. I know I went like very deep and narrow.
I think you are the prompt queen.
Thank you. And I hopefully I'm sharing all of that. You'll get all of that in the prompt. Writingmadeeasy.com book Bryn, what do you say the like three things are that you use these prompts and you feel like, oh my gosh, this has made me more productive. It saved me more time, it's helped me do more or like where are you seeing the most value? So the most value in the crispy framework is creating outputs in your authentic voice because of the you. So the U is ask me all the questions you need to complete this task. So ultimately it's, it's, it's. So let's say the task is I want a blog post. You are an award winning blog post writer whom I have now hired to to interview me and ghost write my content inspiration. I want to talk all about how AI works with sales and go on and on and on Scope. I'd like this to be a thousand words or less.
Prohibitions. Don't start. You know all of the don't do's and then you ask me all the questions you need to complete this task. So now it's maybe 15 minutes, maybe 5 minutes depending on how broad the inspiration is and the topic and, and one of the things I might say is and do not research, use my answers only. Right? And so now what I love about the crispy framework is that you can use AI and your voice instead of AI. And now I have to edit it or be afraid that it's going to sound like everyone else.
I think that when my ears perked up is when you give the prompt to write it in a way so that it cannot be detected by AI tools.
Right.
How did you come up with that?
Because every time I would take this, I would put it into an AI tool detector. And so I said, you know what? Can chat. So my program, my Ask SSL is on top of chat GPT right now and we are looking at Claude as well. But so it's on top of chat GPT. So I said can chat GPT do this? So I compared when I said chat GPT, run this through as an you are an AI detector. Run this through. And it was almost exact to the AI detector. So I'm like, I don't need an AI detector. And so I said, well, what if I put that into the prompt? Well, it's not perfect because it still will do some things that I hear are AI. But it turned something that was coming up about 80% in the AI detector to about 20% of AI detector. So it's not perfect, but it certainly saves a lot of Time.
And I also like the fact that you put in the. An award winning blog writer. And I've learned from you because I thought, who do I want to be for the next blog? And it's very businesslike. And so I said, let's use the style and language of a David Brooks, the New York Times columnist. And it's amazing. It's totally amazing. Or if I want to be humorous, how would Jerry Seinfeld comment on this? What's the deal with. With AI And. Or how would George Collins express that. That dilemma? And it, it makes for a much richer communication.
So can I add a yes and to that yes, because what happened, I was using. Because I love Brene Brown. So I was using Brene Brown, but then every fifth word was empathy. And I'm like, yeah, that, you know, LinkedIn and empathy, you have to have a little. But. Right. And vulnerability and all these things. So what I changed in the role was instead of act like Brene Brown.
You are Brene Brown and I hired you to interview me and ghost write the content. So now it's a combination of how Brene Brown would write, but she's ghost writing it in my voice so it's less obvious.
Yeah.
Right. And so that's been sort of, you know, something that we've, we've put into this book also. Right. Like, so how do you get the most out of what it can do while keeping your authentic voice?
And we just got a comment from Dr. Rob Peterson from Chicago who says, I now I will become Winston Churchill.
Well, so just be a little careful because you could end up in war. No, I'm kidding. Anyway, I appreciate you guys. Thank you. I know we're a minute over and I have a live stream to go to from here. Another one. So.
All right, wonderful. Well, thank you. Our. Thank you, Bren. Wonderful presentation. I recommend that everybody, you know, scan that, go to that link and become prompt savvy, like Bren.
Yeah, I love to. And reach out, connect with me on LinkedIn, all those fun things. Thanks for coming. Bye, Gerhard. Bye, Stephanie. I appreciate you guys.
