This is a YouTube video titled "📈 Affluent Families Relocating, Pushing Prices Up 📈" containing a monologue or single-speaker commentary from July 21, 2021, discussing trends in the housing market driven by tech workers relocating to smaller markets and influencing home prices.
Today's housing market has seen more relocating than ever before. A big part of this is many tech work from home type jobs are now getting the green light to go live wherever they want. Many of these families are used to living in the San Franciscos, the New York Silicon Valley and used to paying those prices. They're not afraid to go to a smaller market and outbid the locals there, pushing home prices higher. Also, those tech jobs generally have a higher income well into the six figures, so they have more money to spend. This is a trend that will keep pushing home prices higher for the next few years.
