Today I've got a buying versus renting scenario. I'm using a $350,000 purchase price, and then I'm looking at renting a comparable home side by side. So you can see over time, the mortgage payment stays the same because it's, you know, fixed, locked in, rent goes up. And this is just the national average rental increase year over year. So you can see in five years, for example, the person paying about 400amonth more to rent the same house. And the big one is, over time, I think this really starts opening some eyes. You can see as you pay the mortgage payment down and you keep building equity in the house. I mean, for example, in five years, you'd have over 160 grand in equity. So big difference in buying a home.
