The down payment for your new home can come from many different places. Of course, you can use your funds in your checking your savings account. Simple. You can take money out of a retirement or investment or bitcoin account these days, no problem at all. You also have access to your 401k funds. When buying a house, that's a life circumstance. That makes it allowable to tap into your 401k. You also can get a gift from an immediate family member that would be grandparent, parent, sibling, spouse, child, aunt, uncle, cousin. That kind of rounds it out. But check with the lender first. Make sure you're documenting it correctly. Can't be cash. Must be a wire transfer or a check.
